  2. make the app sync between devices

    By setting up a user account attached to your gmail account, you could set up a syncing feature that would allow for old wpisodes to be deleted based on most recently used device using podcast addict app.

  3. skipping episodes

    This appears to be a bug in the newer version (say released around early September is when I first noticed this) that when the playing podcast finishes, it sometimes, not always, skips the next episode and goes to one following. I typically play at 1.5-1.7x if that might somehow be contributing to the problem. If I manually bring up the playlist I can click on the skipped episode and it plays perfectly. I have about 150 episodes in my playlist and I'm playing near the end of the list (so at say item 130).

    Regarding the issue, it can only skip an episode because of the following:
    - next episode isn’t downloaded and you dont’ have a valid connection so the app will skip until it finds a downloaded episode
    - there’s a playback error and you enabled skip upon failure so the app will proceed with the next episode
    - you enabled player shuffle mode

  4. Problem with playback of 8-4 Play

    Can not ship forward or backward, Abu strep to do so will cause the player to freeze or crash, then give the error "internal player: server error". Note, I'm not streaming, so I have no idea where the server error is coming from. It works for any other podcast.

    Regarding the issue it looks like your device doesn’t support this file format or the server you’re streaming from doesn’t support modifying the playback position.
    You will have to download this podcast first in order to avoid this issue

  5. wrap episode description

    Long episode descriptions scroll off the screen. It would be good if it wrapped so the full text was displayed.

  6. Covers issues

    Hi,

    I noticed that some of my feeds can't reach their géneral covers (AnyGivenFilms, and the new Les Clairvoyants one, for the one I remember)

    I noticed that Les Clairvoyants suffered from another issue : its cover changed at one point, probably with the same url link, and the app was stuck with the old one.

    The only way to update the cover was to cancel its subscription, clear thumbnail cache, and re-subscribe.

    Maybe you should launch a cover check, let's say once a week, on a regular update check. Not based on URLs, but rather based on image's hash.…

    Merci de ne pas utiliser cette section pour remonter des bugs. Elle est dédié aux suggestions de nouvelles fonctions.
    Pour remonter un bug il suffit d’appuyer sur le bouton ‘Contact support’ du site.

    Le comportement observé est normal. Une fois l’abonnement réalisé, l’app ne met plus a jour les infos du podcast. En revanche il te suffit de laisser appuyé sur le podcast puis d’aller sur ‘Description podcast’ et là tu pourras rafraichir les infos et obtenir ainsi la dernière illustration.

    Si l’app ne fourni aucune illustration tu peux toujours spécifié un fichier local ou une url de ton choix dans les paramètres personnalisés du podcast.
    Il n’ya aucune concaténation de chaine et je n’affiche que le champ description Par conséquent le “null” doit provenir du flux RSS. Peux tu me donner des exemples de liens vers les flux RSS histoire que je fasse un test ?

    Regarding your issue, there’s no ‘paging’ in this feed, therefore the app has nothing else than the feed content to extract

    The plays audio content in the background no matter what.
    But if the device doesn’t have enough free resources to start a foreground app, then Android will start killing background apps.
    There’s nothing I can do to prevent that…

  9. [bug report] video playback jumps 8seconds forward when

    switching from the app or back while having the background playback enabled. It also happens while in app playing the video and clicking back to view the list of other episodes while it is playing. I am not sure if this happens in all videos, but for sure it happens with all Twit shows. Could that be fixed please? It is around 8 seconds which is a lot and I frequently miss a whole sentence because of this. It also happens almost every time when I start the episode it does not start from the beginning but 8seconds after it.

    Regarding the issue did you enabled an offset of 8 seconds in the player settings?

  10. Fix please

    Everything happens with my cellphone (like a notification, switch between apps or sound of any app ) stop the podcast I was listening.

    I will need a lot more information regarding the issue. (android version, podcast addict version, device, which apps are doing the notifications, which apps are you running during playback…)

    Once I disabled the notifications I cannot reenable them... Looks like a bug

  13. Normalisation or compression.

    Needs to be some way of levelling the sound as in my car it can be difficult to hear some of the podcasts and yet when they laugh for example it nearly bursts my eardrums!!

  14. Last update

    Ever since the last update I've been experiencing some issues with the audio player. Sometimes it skips an episode on its own or stops playback altogether or freezes when trying to play a show. I hope there is a way to fix this. Thank you very much.

    Regarding the issue, the app will only skip to a different episode if you enabled Settings/Player/Skip upon failure.
    Regarding the stop/freeze it con be because of the following:

    - Network issue in case of streaming - Corrupted SD card if your storing your device on the SD card. Please analyze/repair it using a computer

  16. Enable ability to store to an external sd memory card.

    The ability to download podcasts and store straight to an external micro sd would be optimal and I would switch to this app due to the better UI.

    Regarding the issue I just fixed it. If you want an early build with the fix, please let me know (Contact support button).
    There’s a workaround. Turn your device in landscape mode before opening the video and it should be ok.

  18. cut from starting time

    Most podcasts start with ads, the same ads that we end up listening to or watching later in podcasts again! I'll be happy if I am able to set a time, let say, x podcast start with 2 minutes ads at start so I can set it to start 2 minutes in for that podcast!

  19. fast forward with doubepress on aearphone button

    Earphones with no FFW button could use this function instead by double pressing the "play/pause/answer" button on earphones.
    This is a nice feature to fast forward used in many podcast apps.

  20. LockScreen controls

    The lockscreen controls do not work when my Samsung s5 is locked (nothing happen when pushing them)

    With Neflix app their lockscreen controls do work.
