Just a heads up regarding the latest version of the app. It doesn’t provide cross device syncing yet, but it allows you to sign in to your Google Drive account and have all your data automatically backed up to make sure they are safe at all time. It also makes restoring the data on a new device really easy.
You can go into Settings/Backup to enable this and sign-in
    Thanks

The problem is not to backup up the podcast data to a cloud drive or to something else. The problem is to be able to use different devices when listening to your podcasts and to be able to continue them at exactly the last time code. Therefore it's only necessary to synchronize the actual time codes. This would be enough - and that's exactly the same what Pocket Casts is doing (which I use normally because I need this feature).

In contrary to this concept it is NOT necessary to synchronize everything, i. e. downloaded episodes from one device to another. This would take too long, would use too much storage space and would probably fill up other devices which not much storage left. Perhaps this is the most important point to clarify talking about the feature "cross device synchronisation".
