    You're right I will add arguments to some intents in the v3.11
    Thanks for the suggestion.

    Skip forward / Backward intents use the app settings and will skip the number of seconds selected in the app settings.
    For the rest it's not that it's difficult to implement it's just that it's too specific and I don't want to add more complexity to the app than it already has.

    The app only react to Android media remote controls. If you can map some keyboard action to emulate Android remote controls then you will be able to control the app with those keyboard shortcuts.
    Sorry but you won't be able to map 'keys' to remote controls within the app

    You will find the complete list of supported Intents in the app FAQs. You can also map Next episode command to fast forward if you want to (Settings/Player/Remote controls => skip forward/rewind controls)

    @Daniel Bemis The app needs the background service in order to work properly. The service will clear its caches as soon as the device needs more resources, then it won't use more than a couple MB of RAM. The app doesn't use any CPU/battery while running in the background so it won't slow down the device

    @Anonymous
    No, having data into the RAM doesn't take more battery. If the device is ON the RAM is powered even if it doesn't contain any data. If the device needs to free some resources for another app Podcast Addict service will clear it's cache and therefore use almost no RAM

    You can close the player simply by pressing the notification 'X' button.
    Once closed the app won't listen to remote controls anymore.
    Having a button to 'quit' the app is against Android best pratice

    The app requires this background service in order to run properly. It doesn't use any copy/battery. I don't understand what the issue is

    For now you should be able to achieve something similar by enabling :

    - Settings/Playlit/Plays 1st episode
    - Sort playlist by priority asc
    - Customize podcasts priority, that way you will have the podcasts with the higher priority playing before the other

    Feel free to contact me if you have any question (podcastaddict@gmail.com)

    You can already to something similar by enabling Automatic update at the time of your choice. Then if new episodes are retrieved and Automatic download is enabled, they will be downloaded

    @Ryan Stille
    You can do this by long pressing on the previous/next episode button in the player screen when you're done listening to the current episode

    @Nigel Coldwell
    You can set up a 'Skip outro' setting for the podcast so the app skips automatically the end of the episode or you can long press on the 'Next episode' button then the app will mark the current episode as being completed, while proceeding to the new episode

    As explained by the previous comment you can set up a 'Skip outro' setting so the app automatically will skip the last X seconds of a podcast.
    You can also long press on the next episode button to delete the current one AND skip to the next one. The app will then know you're done listening to the current episode

    Just to be sure, you want the app to mark the episode article as read as soon as it has been opened ?

    Please contact me using the 'Contact support' button or by email at podcastaddict@gmail.com regarding the unsubscribing issue.
    Make sure you're using the app latest version as I just improved the unbsubscribing process speed in v3.5.6

    Thanks

    @Geo Jeff: you can enable the automatic deletion of the episode when it has been listened to, that way the episode will be marked as read AND deleted at the same time. That should solve this issue for now.

    @Geo Jeff: in that case you can use the 'Mark every episode read', or do it with a selection of episodes, or one by one from the description screen (mark read then swipe) or use the 'Mark older episodes read' contextual menu entry

    You can use the select mode from tge tollbar to select your episodes, then select the mark read entry from the toolbar menu. It will be way faster than marking them read one by one

    @emlax3
    Please don’t use this page to report an issue. It’s dedicated to new feature requests. Use the Contact support button or the dedicated bug report form instead (Settings/Feedback/Report a bug)

    Regarding the issue, the app can only delete episodes based on the Automatic cleanup settings. If they are disabled then episodes ca only be deleted manually.
    BTW the deletion is only for the downloaded file. The episode article cannot be deleted. Maybe you marked it as read and then pressed the toolbar 'eye' button to hide read content. In that case please press on this button again to show them back.

    You can already do this, by replacing the app launcher icon with a 'shortcut' widget called playlist

    Trash content is kept based on your trash setting which is a duration.
    Episodes are kept in the trash for for one of the following:
    1h, 2h, 6h, 12h, 1 day, 2 days or a week

    @Richard the app already do this by default. It only downloads over WiFi. If you want it to only update the feeds over WiFi you can go into Settings/Network and enable this as well

    You can already setup the automatic download time. The app won't check if the device is charging, but if you charge it every night, then you can set the update time at 4:00 am for example

    Automatic download is for new episodes only. So this feature is only triggered by new episodes being published in the podcast RSS feed.
