An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment You can already setup the automatic download time. The app won't check if the device is charging, but if you charge it every night, then you can set the update time at 4:00 am for example

An error occurred while saving the comment Automatic download is for new episodes only. So this feature is only triggered by new episodes being published in the podcast RSS feed.

An error occurred while saving the comment That's a really huge db. Did you to 'optimize' the db (Settings/Backup/Optimize) ?
Can you please do a full backup of the app db and use the share button to send it to me via email/cloud sharing, so I can check why it's slowing down the app ?
FYI the backup contains your settings, playlist, subscriptions, and episode status.

An error occurred while saving the comment The 'download date' is used in the app to sort the playlist or to delete automatically downloaded files base on the 'Automatic cleanup' settings.
Sorry but I cannot replace the downloaded date with the last-modified server timestamp. -

An error occurred while saving the comment This is the 1st time I see a RSS feed updating it's main artwork with an article artwork.
This is pretty uncommon.
Sorry but the only way to update the podcast artwork is to open the podcast description screen and press the update buttonAn error occurred while saving the comment What do you mean ?
The app displays the artwork provided in the RSS feed you subscribed to. If the podcast owner doesn't provide an artwork then the app won't be able to display it -

An error occurred while saving the comment Sorry but 99.999+% of the users are using unrooted devices ;)
Therefore I only allow storing on the app system folder.
Moreover Android doesn't return valid results when checking if a SD card is writable. It will always return true even though it's not the case. -

I'm doing some testing to check if I can implement this audio efect. However in order to test this I would need some sample files whith different audio levels between them or even within. Can you please send me an email with either link to some episodes (Settings/Feedback/Send email)?
Thanks
An error occurred while saving the comment Yes by podcast I mean subscription. Every episode of Podcast A will use this settings, while it will remain disabled for Podcast B
An error occurred while saving the comment @Jan Ahnen
You can enable this globally from the app settings but you can override it from the player screen in which case the app will memorize the setting per podcastAn error occurred while saving the comment It just increases the volume in real time, so yes the sound quality won't be so great. There's no processing of the file during download
An error occurred while saving the comment The next version (currently in beta), adds a 'Volume boost' feature in the player screen menu.
This isn't what you were asking for but it might help. Please try the latet beta and let me know how it works for you.
ThanksAn error occurred while saving the comment FYI there will be an equalizer in the next version... but without normalization implementation :(

An error occurred while saving the comment You can adjust the current position precisely using the << / >> buttons which by default will skip -15s / + 30s
If changing the position jumps at a random position it means that the device built-in player (in charge of the playback) doesn't fully support the current type of file.
In that case there's nothing I can do to fix the issue. -

An error occurred while saving the comment I will add a new setting under 'Settings/Player' to keep the screen ON when the player screen is displayed (doesn't take the power status into account)

An error occurred while saving the comment You can open the podcast to see its episodes. By default new episodes are displayed first, so you can easily scroll down to see episodes which are 2-3 weeks old.
You can also open the 'All' entry in the navigation sidebar to find those 2-3 weeks old episodes -

An error occurred while saving the comment The app doesn't handle the playback. Playback is handled by the device built-in player.
So the app isn't involved in the buffer handling. The buffer is just a memory where the BT receiver will store a couple of seconds of data when an episode is played with a small delay to prevent interruption. It doesn't involve any remote commands (rewind or other) if it's properly handled.
If the app rewinds multiple times it means that it received multiple rewind commands. Those should only happen when the rewind button is pressed multiple time on the BR receiver, otherwise it's a BT receiver bug. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Trash has nothing to do with 'once Listened to'.
If you enabled the trash, the app sill store the episodes automatically deleted in the 'trash' for the duration of your choice before they are really deleted.
It's a security, so you can restore them if you feel asleep while listening to a podcast for example -

An error occurred while saving the comment You can try enabling Settings/Player/Headset/Always listening which will try keeping the player service up and running. It won't use more battery but the drawback is that the app may not be playing nicely with other player apps are used on the device. Pressing the headset /BT controls will be sent in priority to Podcast Addict with this setting enabled, but it may solve your issue
An error occurred while saving the comment You can display the app player screen in car mode (action bar menu).
I'm guessing it answers this suggestion.
Please let me know if I can close it.
Thanks
@Richard the app already do this by default. It only downloads over WiFi. If you want it to only update the feeds over WiFi you can go into Settings/Network and enable this as well
