The 'ducking' type should only be used for really short audio burst.(http://developer.android.com/training/managing-audio/audio-focus.html#HandleFocusLoss)
Ducking request means other app should keep plaing at a lower volume in the background. I added a setting so the app will stop/resume playback in that case, but it's not the standard behavior.This kind of ducking behavior is intended for sms, email, ... short notification
That's why I disable this feature. I get it that you're talking about your navigation notigication, I'm just saying it also trigger the autorewind in case of other kind of short notification like SMS and email which is annoying.No need to keep arguing about this here. I already spend a lot of time explaing over and over by email why I changed it and how audio focus and priority work on android.
I don't intend to continue arguing here.
Now let other users vote for this feature if they think this is a good idea.An error occurred while saving the comment After our 10+ emails exchange I will explain this feature behavior one more time:
Auto rewind still works the exact same way than before EXCEPT in case of 'DUCK audio focus lock' which is google technical term to describe a really short notification (less than 2s)
It means that now the app won't autorewind 10s (or more) every time you got a SMS, email notification or every time you take a picture.
Users were complaining about the previous behavior so I fixed it. I don't think having a 1s notification will make you lose track of your listening.
Anyway now that I explained how it works feel free to vote for this feature if you find it necessary. -

An error occurred while saving the comment But those are not the same information. Some users stream their episodes, other download just a few episodes not all of them, so those notifications make sense.

I'm not sure about any guidelines talking about a single notification per app. In case of Podcast addict that won't be possible. Some notifications must be displayed on their own like the player notifications. Others when pressed open different screens so I don't think merging all of them will be useful.

An error occurred while saving the comment You can store data on the SD card. You just need to use the app specific folder. I don't understand what you need to clear exactly. Are you talking about the download folder?

It just displays the list of episodes published in the last 7 days -

An error occurred while saving the comment Why should there be a warning ? This is the normal behavior. The app reacts to external controls until the player is stopped or until you disable this feature.
It doesn't impact any other app if the player is stoppedAn error occurred while saving the comment Sorry but absolutely nothing has been modified for at least a few month. The app receives and reacts to the standard remote controls if you didn't disable that feature (settings/player/external controls).

Are you asking for a way to play/download an episode from the list of episodes ?
If so you can already do so. Long press on an episode and select play or download. -

An error occurred while saving the comment In case the list has a lot of episode you can 'fast scroll' it. Drag the scrollbar handle from the bottom to the top in less than a second

An error occurred while saving the comment Initially I was going to call this Tag then I changed my mind and renamed everything as category.
Obviously I missed one entry ;)Regarding the padding issue I don't see where it's missing.
I will add a wizard to simplify the original setup but didn't get the time to do it for now.

As explained in the changelog you just have to go into settings/display to disable the category filtering.
Playlist feature is the core feature of any podcast/player app. This is the most used feature of the app and by far.
You have a timer feature to avoid the falling asleep issue. Just tell the app to stop at the end if the current episode or after X minutes and this won't happen again.The popups are only displayed first time you open a new screen then that's it. As a matter of fact I didn't get any more questions regarding the information explained in those popups since the last version. The number of 1 star review also dropped a lot so I'm guessing it's serving it's purposed. I could have limited it to new install but I thought a lit if existing users wheren't aware of all those points.
The sliding menu is available in every screen which means that you can open the settings, refresh your feed, add a podcast, switch to the playlist... From anywhere in your app. The only duplicated function is the + button which is there so new users can find it more easily
When the player notification disappears it means that android killed the app. Any app can be killed by Android when it needs to free some resources. In that case notifications are not cleared.

Every network settings are in Settings/Network so if you set everything to wifi only the app will not use any mobile data. -

An error occurred while saving the comment In that case why don't you enable automatic deletion ? You can enable the trash that will allow you to restore episodes for a couple of days if you change your mind. You also have a feature that won't automatically delete starred episode. So just press the star button on the episode you're listening to and it won't be deleted.
Also from the downloaded playlist you already have a menu that allows you to delete every episodes flagged as read. -

Please stop commenting if it's just to repeat the exact same thing. You already explained your point of view and I already have 10 emails with the exact same information.
Now wait for people vote so it can became a popular suggestion.

And please stop calling that new behavior a bug. Please go back to my last 10 emails or to my previous comments on this suggestion. I already explain this is the intended behavior, so it's NOT A BUG.
I get it that you disagree, but this is the way I implement it so it cannot be called a bug. Call it a poor choice if you want to, but it's not a bug.
