Podcast Addict works in Chrome if you set it up to run Android apps.

Just a heads up regarding the latest version of the app. It doesn’t provide cross device syncing yet, but it allows you to sign in to your Google Drive account and have all your data automatically backed up to make sure they are safe at all time. It also makes restoring the data on a new device really easy.
You can go into Settings/Backup to enable this and sign-in
    Thanks

Maybe use the user's Google Drive to save the ompl/playlist/read and unread/etc.? Just have the program check the Drive for an updated/newer version of the file. Don't save audio to it though, just the config and metadata. That way, there's no more server work for you, as Google Drive takes the brunt of the bandwidth. Plus, the user will have complete control over their data, and they have it backed up somewhere safe.

This way, no matter what device you're using, if it's online (should be for a podcast app), it'll be able to keep the sync file up to date. If it's not online, then it'll just default to the local copy.

That way, if I have Podcast Addict on my phone, my tablet, and installed in Chrome (it works), then I, as a user, don't have anything to worry about, and there's no central device to worry about.
