I'm doing some testing to check if I can implement this audio efect. However in order to test this I would need some sample files whith different audio levels between them or even within. Can you please send me an email with either link to some episodes (Settings/Feedback/Send email)?

    Thanks

What is the meaning of "volume boost"? a simple volume increase that will result in clipping (I hope not, it would hurt the ears a lot) or a dynamic range compressor (a non-linear audio gain, see the "compressor" filter in Audacity)?
Ideally, PA should record the maximum peak volume after download (not every podcast has been normalised) to set a simple gain (skip this if listened on the fly without complete download) and also apply a "compressor" to increase perceived loudness and therefore improve speech recognition.
