    It looks like the Custom playlist tab already allows you to do this.
    You can create categories of podcasts (History, Dudes talking, …) and affect podcasts to those categories. Then you can select the category you want to listen to

    I think the OP wants to do this with individual episodes, if I'm not mistaken, which is something I was going to ask for myself I use the categories a lot, but it categorizes the entire podcast, whereas we want to make playlists out of individual episodes, just like you would with individual songs instead of whole albums.
