The flow I do daily is:
    1. Scroll through all new episodes since yesterday. For me there's usually ~30 per day.
    2. Tap download on all the ones I want to listen to. For me that's usually 3-5 episodes a day.
    3. Actually listen to 50% of the episodes I downloaded.

This process means I end up with a large backlog. I clear it out from time to time, but there's often a lot of gold in my backlog that I do want to listen to when I'm next focussed on the relevant topic.

Hmm, I was just wondering why I have >400 podcast episodes downloaded on my phone. The reason is not that I needed to download them. I just wanted to mark them as "listen sometime".

The easiest affordance in Podcast Addict is the download button, so that's how I've been doing this. But I really don't need to do it this way.

I may try using the "playlist" or "favourites" feature for this purpose. My main worry with that is that it requires a long tap and then a tap to add items... a bit slow.
