    Using an USB OTG cable/adapter, one can connect a USB thumb drive to the phone. This drive gets mounted in /mnt/media_rw.

    It would be really handy to be able to download episodes to this drive (in my case, it's an external MP3 player :) )

    When using e.g. Solid Explorer, Android does a permission request when trying to open a USB thumb drive.
