Second set of seek buttons - more jump buttons in either direction
Would be great to have a second set of SEEK buttons, or even better, a maximum of 4 seek buttons in any direction (e.g. 3 back, 1 forward; or all 4 backwards).
That way users would be able to jump back or forward to whatever distance, without the need to tapping on any one button like crazy, several times to reach the desired position; or if set to a longer duration, wouldn’t have to listen to a long part again.
To have an idea of what I’m referring to, have a look at Music Folder Player.
The user could decide whether he wants to use 1 set of seek buttons, or two sets (3 or 4 seek buttons altogether).
The idea behind this is that the user sometimes want to skip back 30 seconds, but sometimes only 3-5 seconds. E.g. because he is not native and didn’t understand the speech in the podcast. Or he learns a language and wants to hear the expression again. Other times he wants to listen to the whole section again, so he may skip back 30 or even more seconds…
Obviously there could be several reasons to have more than one seek buttons for each direction.
The implementation of this would be welcomed by many users I assume (and there wouldn’t be any dislike from anyone, since this would be a choice, just like the other buttons that can be turned on/off already).
This idea is beautifully implemented in Music Folder Player – have a look at the images here:

They even made it possible to set ‘percent’ instead of ‘seconds’ and they provide 4 buttons to seek.
“Four configurable seek buttons. Very useful for seeking in podcasts or audio books”
If you would implement this, then you should also make it possible to choose which forward and which backwards seek button function to use in the lock screen player and in the scroll down notification area player (in case it is not possible to place more than 2 seek buttons there).
For this, there would be 2 settings:
Backwards seek: 1st or 2nd back seek button to use
Forward seek: 1st or 2nd forward seek button to use
