support reordering of lists / items in Android Auto mode
I love how I can select which lists / items are displayed when using Podcast Addict via Android Auto. I would love to be able to change the order of the items or even just set a default list to go to when opening the app. I use the 'Recent episodes' list 95% of the time and the 'Podcasts' list 5% of the time. The rest I disable.
I would just really like to be able to reorder those two items so Recent episodes is first / farthest left along the top bar.

Do not accept advertising from the Fossil Fuel Industry. Until you can stop accepting it, I will not use your app.
I listened to podcast on climate change, and it started out with false advertising by Exxon Mobile. Evidence just shared at a recent hearing on Big Oil shows they are promoting carbon capture sequestration and storage as a really ineffective and dangerous public relations campaign to keep burning fossil fuels.

Don't remove time of unsubscribed podcasts from playback statistics
Currently, the time listened to episodes are removed when I unsubscribe from their podcast. This leads to me never unsubscribing from unwanted podcasts. Instead, I resort to disabling the 'keep updated', but those podcasts still show up in my Podcasts page.

Enable the ability to auto mark episodes listened before the end
A setting to allow automatically marking an episode as listened when you reach a user definable amount of time before the episode ends. For example, I want an episode to be marked as read when there are 10 seconds left. I often don't listen all the way to the end of some podcasts with the same closing remarks everytime, but I want the sorting of listened and unlistened without having to manually mark it. A global setting and not podcast specific would be sufficient.

Clock (Mainly for Android Auto)
I would like a large clock wen using android auto
I would have thought it would be an android auto option.
Also thought maybe there could be stand alone clock apps. Apparently android auto apps are aimed at media or navigation.
Since your app is one I use the most in android auto for me it would be great to have a clock overlaid in the podcast artwork (which is not that useful to me)
as a developer I understand the need to avoid feather creap (so totally understand not doing)

Some podcasts release "episodes" that are really promotional episodes for other entire podcasts. Would it be possible to block these?
Examples of podcasts that do this are Real Time with Bill Maher (promoting the Sage Steele Show) and The Adam Carolla Show, promoting all different sorts of podcasts on his network. Such episodes will often have titles that begin with BONUS.

Put in an option to modify scrolling text speed
There is an option to turn scrolling text on or off. It would be nice to have another option right near that one to adjust how fast it scrolls. As it is, it scrolls slowly and I'd like to be able to speed it up.

Standalone playlist not integrated with subscriptions
It would be wonderful if we could have a standalone playlist. One that would not have podcasts integrated into our subscriptions. A playlist basically for bookmarking podcasts that we could choose to listen to at a later date like an online shopping cart or wishlist.

I have bought some headphones with built-in mp3 playback for going to the gym, and I would like to be able to copy specific episodes from my phone to the device.*** external device visibility
I plug my phone into the headset (Shokz OpenSwim Pro) and it appears as a USB mass storage device, and at the moment I am copying over items manually by using a file manager. I drill down to the podcasts files directory and then copy episodes to the external storage device.

Generated transcriptions
I like saving highlights while listening to a podcast and then export them to Obsidian. I used Snipd but it's a paid service now. Also tried Memento and Castle Player but they are so much worse than this app in everything else.
I appreciate any ideas for workarounds if it's not planed to be implemented. I would really like to see it in the app though. All the other features are amazing. Thank you!!3 votes -
Sleep Timer icon activation indicator
Sleep timer activation symbol is currently displayed as a diagonal line cutting through the "clock."
I may be wrong about this but a line cutting through a symbol is normally associated with negation, deselection, turning off a function.
To indicate the "clock" for the sleep timer has been activated, I would suggest an easier to interpret visual such as a line underneath the clock.
My natural reaction to seeing a line cutting through the displayed icon clock is that it has been deselected.
It would be interesting to learn how other users interpret the "diagonal line" as associated with "on"…3 votes -
Show how many episodes have been added since last time
I have many podcasts where I want to listen to new episodes as they appear and only occasionally listen to an old episode.
Therefore, I'd like the numbers on the list of podcasts to show how many new episodes have been added since I last looked at the list of episodes of each podcast.
The number that is currently showing is not of much use to me, as it always says a high number on each podcast.
I cannot set all old episodes to listened, as I haven't listened to all of them and I want to know which episodes…
