Strongly consider syncing across devices. I use several different devices and most other apps already provide this feature. Im very disappoi
Complete the syncing across devices feature. Very disappointed to see how long ago this was requested with no apparent interest in providing this function.

I just installed a tablet in my work van and I would love to be able to sync between my tablet and phone.

This is the ONLY reason I am considering leaving Podcast Addict

I hate having to use the google app, but with 3 devices, pca is forcing me to leave. Pocket casts does this - can it be that hard?

I have, sadly, had to finally quit Podcast addict. Love the app, but the inability to sync across devices finally became a deal-breaker. Thanks for 5 great years... sorry to see me go.

I triply request this as well. Podcast Addict is *nearly* perfect: great widget, great search/library, works with custom feeds, great default setup as well as an outstandingly granular level of customization... the ability to sync between devices is the ONLY feature this app is missing, and it's a big one. It's not the end of the world, but it would be nice to not have to only ever be able to listen to my podcasts (with the same seamless experience) via a single device.
I understand the main reason why it hasn't been done... synced progress means accounts will be necessary for every user, which means a lot more needed server space, which means more upkeep costs, ongoing security to protect people's information, etc.
There is another issue that's a little more solvable, which is how to deal with secondary devices. I have automated batch download set up, so how would/should my secondary devices be handled regarding that? We wouldn't want our secondary devices to be constantly downloading and deleting episodes as we watch through them on our primary device - that's a waste of data. The solution would be that we'd need to mark a device as our "primary", and then be able to set unique download/update settings for our secondary devices separately.

I've searched for ways to listen to my PodcastAddict subs on a webplayer or site - I know about the Podcast Addict web site but the abililty to import opml files or sync with saved backups on Google drive doesn't exist. The only workaround I see is to export the opml and import to a webplayer/site that has that feature. Still, they won't be sync'd with PA.
I wonder if the creator/dev of Podcast Addict has considered this and has an easier solution. -

I left spotify because I couldn't use the RSS from my patreon subscriptions. However to not be able to sync across devices makes me feel as if I need to continue my search for different players. I'm not always listening on the same device and don't want to have to keep a log of what episode and what time i'm at in each episode.

I'm also missing the sync feature. The Podcast Addict is really the best podcast app out there, but it's missing this single feature. Please put it on super high priority, it would really make this app twice as awesome!

I would sugest an intent to backup and another to restore, that would allow us to use any automation app to sync between devices. For now it would do the trick.

Syncing across devices is the only glaringly missing feature from the app.

I usually discover episodes I want to listen on my PC. Searching for them in the app is SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS, especially if I've found a lot of episodes I want to add to playlist.
Some sort of syncing feature is a must. People use multiple devices. Please add it. -

I'm just pushing all my rss (text) feed in a IMAP mailbox (with tool like feed2imap or rss2imap)...
So I can read all my rss on a lot of device (and through webmail :D), and on all of them I can know wich article are read or not...
It can be lovely that podcastaddict use this kind of idea (and so you can store _everywhere_ your feeds). -

Syncing is a must! I have three different devices that I listen and watch podcasts on. Also a web app would be great for my laptop and two desktop PCs.

@PodInhaler - You can already sync across devices using Google Drive like that using backup/restore. Backup gives you the option to share so you can upload to GDrive, but you'd have to download manually to the other device to restore it.
However, a cloud-based service that auto-updated the database would be great, then you could run the app on multiple devices syncing to the same cloud database, and leave the local devices to download and store the necessary files. That would be great. Of course it would a chargeable subscription-based service, but that's OK with me.
It would also be good if there was a web app, so that when you're at your desk you can run it on your laptop/PC.

storing/restoring on Google Drive would do for now.
Either automatically (on WiFi) or per easy-to-reach button. -

Is it possible to make an account that you can sign in to different phones and get all subscriptions, playlist, and more?
That's the only thing I miss with this app.
