add a volume function within the app that controls the volume that the podcast plays independent of the volume of the rest of the device.
I like to listen to music while learning a new language using another application called duolingo. The language learning app has a teacher that speaks random sentences so it would be nice to turn down the volume of the podcast while maintaining the volume of my other app

I use Google Maps for navigation and I found a setting there, Guidance Volume, under Navigation Settings, and changed it from Normal to Softer, and now Podcast Addict and navigation have similar volumes.

GPS volume (of any GPS) is way louder than the podcasts, making it uncomfortable to use both at the same time. Most GPS apps don't have independent volume (for some weird reason) so it would be great for PA users if PA implemented that.

It would be great to have an independent volume control like in PowerAmp. Overall app volume in my device is settled less than half, but podcasts are played with much higher volume. It would be much easier to set this volume level once and forget about it.

this should also work as a volume booster for listening to very quiet podcasts in noisy situations

An analogous situation is when the podcast is relatively quiet and I have to turn up the volume on the device and car way up, which makes navigation way too loud.
