    Just a heads up regarding the latest version of the app. It doesn’t provide cross device syncing yet, but it allows you to sign in to your Google Drive account and have all your data automatically backed up to make sure they are safe at all time. It also makes restoring the data on a new device really easy.
    You can go into Settings/Backup to enable this and sign-in

    its unlikely this will be added, as background playback of Youtube violates its TOS and they've nuked apps from Google Play that do this

    issue resolved thanks to PodSync, which is a service that makes youtube channels/playlists into podcasts

    @Xavier is it technically impossible to play just the audio portion of a youtube video in the Podcast Addict integrated player?

    Currently I have to manually download each playlist with youtube-dl and copy it into my phone

    right now I can only see 18 characters of the episode title in the Player view. I have to wait until it scrolls through the entire title

    There is so much room on the Player view that the title should really have its own row and use the full width of my screen

    @Xavier Guillemane what if you just play the audio part of the video? could you merge them then?

    I would vote against wasting the developers time on a completely different platform

  14. add a volume function within the app that controls the volume that the podcast plays independent of the volume of the rest of the device.

    this should also work as a volume booster for listening to very quiet podcasts in noisy situations
