@Reto you can use the virtual podcast feature to do so.
Feel free to send me an email if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)
You can do this by pressing on the PiP option menu from the video player screen
This has been added as soon as Google released Android 8.0.
You can find this feature in the video player option menu
You can use the drop down filter to select any podcast and see its downloaded files
Unfortunately for now this can only work from services hosting all the content. Because podcasts are hosted on their own services/servers, this cannot be done. Hopfully this will change in the future…
Stitcher is one of the few podcast service which hosts a copy of the podcasts files. Therefore they can stream the content to Alexa. NPR can also do this for their content for example
You can do so by opening the player screen and select the playback speed of your choice. The playback speed will only change for this podcast
Thanks for the idea.
I updated the FAQs for this: https://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/402793-i-wish-to-donate-how-can-i-support-the-app
@Anonymous you can use the app built-in backup/restore feature when changing device for this. Feel free to send me an email if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)
The app will answer to any remote command it receives. If your headset / BT receiver can send skip commands, then you will be able to control playback position from it. Feel free to send me an email if you have any question (Settings/feedback)
The next version will allow to reorder downloads and to pause/resume them.
A first beta will be soon available
Concurrent downloads will be added in a future release
Since v3.27 the download manager as been improved and now displays an ‘error’ tab that will allow you to see a list of the past download failures, allowing you to retry the downloads without having to remember the episodes that failed to download in the first place
Please send me an email in case you have a question so I can help (Settings/Feedback)
Only downloaded files can be deleted. The episode articles cannot be deleted. You can mark them as played and then hide played content by pressing on the toolbar 'eye' button
I will add a way to reorder downloads in the next version (v3.24)AdminXavier Guillemane (Admin, Podcast Addict) shared this idea ·
Can you please provide some example of those complex menus so I can understand what you’re referring to?
So this is the settings screen.
I'm sorry but it's not possible to sort those objectively in a simple/advanced category as every user as it's own opinion especially when it comes to podcasts.
I'm not sure where this '5 most important items' comes from but what's certain is that most users will have a different opinion about which 5 items should remain in the list.
I'm sorry but the settings will remain organized by topic like they already are
I’m sorry but I don’t understand how the popup is preventing the app from playing.
Playback will automatically stop if the app gets updated. Then you should be ablae to resume playback using the var mediaplayer remote commads
@Anonymous Please send me an email in case of an issue/question so I can help (Settings/Feedback)
Regarding this, the popup has no effect on the app as everything is managed by a background service that isn't linked with the app UI.
In case you're having an issue please quickly go into Settings/Feedback to send me some logs right after you reproduce the issue.
Unfortunately this feature realies on iTunes database and for now Apple doesn't allow to filter by language...
By default the app doesn't allow download over mobile data.
You can check this in the app Settings/Network screen.
So even though episodes are added to the download queue, they won't be downloaded until your device connects to WiFi
You can override, edit, delete, add categories. This allows you to do something similar to the folders feature as you can group podcasts using the category name of your choice and select which category to display or play. Feel free to send me an email if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)
I’m sorry but I don’t understand what you mean by maps. Can you please provide more details?
In that case you can already do so in Settings/List/Categories
You can add/edit categories as you want to.
Then you can filter the main screen by category using the drop down menu displayed at the top of the page. You can also use those categories to play podcasts in the Custom tab of the playlist screen
Can you please provide more detail?
If you start playing an episode in the playlist the player will show the Next track button IF there are other episodes after the current one in the playlist
This means that the podcast owner doesn't follow RSS specs and is first publishing a 'placeholder' with no attached file and then later the episode.
This isn't how this should be done.
You can go into your podcast custom settings and then in the filter section and disable the 'Text' content. That way the app will not show those kinds of episodes anymore until there's an attached file.
This should fix the issue
Unfortunately this depends mostly on Sonos...
They decide who can work with their devices/ecosystem
You can already do that by enabling Settings/Display/Podcast/Custom sorting
Please send me an email in case you have any question (Settings/feedback)
@João Eduardo Dias
I focus on new features based on the popularity of the request.
Stats show that very few users have an Android watch so I'm sorry but this feature isn't at the top of my todo list for now
