Waiting for Waze answer/approval
Edit: Unfortunately it looks like they stopped accepting new apps for now. I implemented this, but cannot do anything else until they start accepting new apps…

This setting will only delete episodes when they have been listened to. Marking an episode as played will not delete it automaticallyAn error occurred while saving the comment @Gurdy Please send me an email in case of an issue/question ()Settings/Feedback
ThanksAn error occurred while saving the comment This works the other way around. Instead of marking an episode as read, delete it, that way it will be marked as read at the same time. Deleting an episode manually takes the exact same time as marking it as read. In both case you can use the select mode to select multiple episodes before choosing the action

You can already do this.
There's a setting which allows automatic deletion of downloaded episodes once they have been listened to.
You can also long press on a podcast to delete all its downloaded episodesAn error occurred while saving the comment Marking an episode as read doesn't delete it. However deleting episodes will also mark them as read at the same time

An error occurred while saving the comment I'm sorry but the Chromecast doesn't allow this for now. It takes a unique skip forward/backward value at the time of the connection which cannot be customized by podcast

New beta now works differently. When you select a folder containing sub folders, the app asks you if you want to create a single podcast or as many podcasts as there are subfolders.
If you select the later, adding a new subfolder in your device memory later will not automatically create a new virtual podcast in the appAn error occurred while saving the comment @oyetio the app will only ask if the folder only contains subfolders (the number doesn't matter)
If it also contains single files, then everything is added all together in the same virtual podcast.
Please send me an email if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

For now you can either Long press on the player Next episode button to skip to the next episode while handling the current one as if it was fully listened to OR you can use the skip outro setting.
This setting allows you to set the number of seconds that will automatically be skipped at the end of the episode.
However sometimes the end credits can be shorter than usual or even missing and using skip outro would still skip the last XX seconds of the app.
To avoid this I plan to add an extra setting that if enabled would only trigger the skip outro if the Skip forward button is pressed at least once with the last XX seconds of the file (where XX seconds is the selected value for skip outro)For example with this enabled and skip outro set to 5 minutes, the app will only…
An error occurred while saving the comment For now you can either long press on the player next button to skip to the next episode while deleting the current one and marking it as played.
You can also go into the podcast custom settings and enable Skip outro to tell the app to automatically skip the last XX seconds of this podcast -

The app is behaving as expected here.
If you disable play from the top, the app will keep playing as intended Podcast C episode 1 and so on until the end of the playlist is reached
Then you can select the episode at the top of the list to restart playback -

You can do this by pressing on the PiP option menu from the video player screen

This has been added as soon as Google released Android 8.0.
You can find this feature in the video player option menu -

Unfortunately for now this can only work from services hosting all the content. Because podcasts are hosted on their own services/servers, this cannot be done. Hopfully this will change in the future…
An error occurred while saving the comment @Mark Swoboda
Stitcher is one of the few podcast service which hosts a copy of the podcasts files. Therefore they can stream the content to Alexa. NPR can also do this for their content for example -

The app will answer to any remote command it receives. If your headset / BT receiver can send skip commands, then you will be able to control playback position from it. Feel free to send me an email if you have any question (Settings/feedback)

The next version will allow to reorder downloads and to pause/resume them.
A first beta will be soon availableConcurrent downloads will be added in a future release
Since v3.27 the download manager as been improved and now displays an ‘error’ tab that will allow you to see a list of the past download failures, allowing you to retry the downloads without having to remember the episodes that failed to download in the first place

Only downloaded files can be deleted. The episode articles cannot be deleted. You can mark them as played and then hide played content by pressing on the toolbar 'eye' button
ThanksAn error occurred while saving the comment I will add a way to reorder downloads in the next version (v3.24)

Can you please provide some example of those complex menus so I can understand what you’re referring to?
ThanksAn error occurred while saving the comment So this is the settings screen.
I'm sorry but it's not possible to sort those objectively in a simple/advanced category as every user as it's own opinion especially when it comes to podcasts.
I'm not sure where this '5 most important items' comes from but what's certain is that most users will have a different opinion about which 5 items should remain in the list.
I'm sorry but the settings will remain organized by topic like they already are -

By default the app doesn't allow download over mobile data.
You can check this in the app Settings/Network screen.
So even though episodes are added to the download queue, they won't be downloaded until your device connects to WiFi -

You can override, edit, delete, add categories. This allows you to do something similar to the folders feature as you can group podcasts using the category name of your choice and select which category to display or play. Feel free to send me an email if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)
Thanks
@Ronaldo
Unfortunately this only depends on Waze.
For now they are not interested by Podcast Addict supporting this feature...
