Exclude some podcasts from sync to reduce traffic => Some podcasts are refreshed only once a week/month
It would be awesome if one could modify the time for manual refreshing for every podcast separately. There are some podcasts with >500 episodes which upload new casts only once a month. So it is useless to refresh them once or twice a day (not by automatic refresh [I don't like that] but my manual refreshing) when I want to refresh my daily casts (like news or daily documentaries). So it would be perfect, to modify the duration for refreshing like "everytime when refresh manually [standard]", "once a week [with starting date or weekday]", "once a month [with starting date]" and "every x
days [with starting date; 999 equals 'never refresh']".
I so far don't know any competing app that supports this feature :).

A new feature has been delivered in the latest v3.8
It allows you do disable the update of specific podcasts. You can access this settings by long pressing on the podcast and then selecting Custom settings.
The only way to update such podcasts will be to open the podcast screen and press on the toolbar update button.
Please let me know if I need to keep this feature request open.
Thanks

Seems like a good start at this feature. Could I say that this could be a little more detailed by setting specific sync schedules for individual podcasts. Like have podcast 'X', that releases Friday, to update Fri/Sat/Sun.

I will add a feature in the next version which will allow to disable podcast refresh. The only way to refresh those podcasts will be to open the podcast screen and press the update button.
There won't be a custom automatic refresh frequency per podcast though -

There are a lot of podcasts series (especially BBC radio shows) which are "done" and they're never going to make new episodes. It would make sense to be able to set an auto-refresh time period and then disable auto-refresh for certain podcasts that you know are done.

This would be useful, some feeds are very slow to refresh, so the initial http header request makes the podcast update take ages to complete. I'd rather manually refresh those feeds.

BTW the app checks if the RSS file content has been modified since last update before retrieving it (using http header). So monthly podcasts with 500 episodes are only refreshed once the RSS feed has been modified

Perhaps as an "over ride Global Settings"

Podtrapper has the ultimate ability to do this and much more although it doesn't play streams and the podcast database has recently gone away. It is an old app that hasn't been updated for years but it's the ultimate in configurability. I am hoping that Addict will eventually become as usable as Podtrapper.

salut, juste une petite proposition pour cette super app': à quand un icône full HD?!
