The point of this suggestion is to bypass viewpoint censorship by the likes of Google and Apple. Podcast Addict as currently written appears to rely on two products they own or at least influence, so implementing this probably means replacing those products. One is feedburner.com, owned by Google, which hosts RSS feeds for Youtube channels. The other is podsync, an open-source app on Github which appears to be hostile to attempts to work around Google censorship. We would probably need to fork podsync.
If done right, this change would also work for other video and audio hosting sites, Vimeo, PewTube, Brighteon, etc. not just Bitchute.
That's as far as I've gotten so far in researching to do this myself.
And one more thing, to LaQuenelle: yes, you can download Youtube video quite easily, using the Firefox extension "Flash and Video Download" at fnvfox.com. If you know a way to do the same on BitChute or other sites I'd like to hear about it.
