  3. Have small grid option for Radio stations

    Under podcast settings, there is "Display settings", with Display mode options of list mode, small grid mode, grid mode, and large grid mode.

    I like the "small grid mode", 4x5 on the screen

    This isn't available for Radio stations, only a default, which is larger, 3x4 on the screen:

    I would prefer a small grid for my radio stations, as in podcast.

  10. Notification Categories for Oreo

    Implement the new Oreo categories so they can be set for different priorities. Right now the player notification has the same priority as the ones that show recent episodes, so to interact with the player after downloading podcasts you have to expand the notification instead of an easy pause/play button.

  11. Highlight the podcast currently played

    Hi it would be nice to display the podcast currently played in a different colour .
    I know it can be spotted with the pause symbol but it is not obvious at all.

  12. Add "mark done" to the Android Auto player.

    In Android Auto, after swiping on the episode's player, there should be an option to mark the episode as played/done. Currently, this is not possible in Android Auto, and switching to the next episode requires navigating the playlist.

    Pocket Casts has this feature, and one of few things that I miss.

    This has been delivered in the latest version of the app

    An extra bouton will be added in the upcoming version to delete the current file, mark it as played and then skip to the next episode.
    It should be available in the next beta in a couple of hours

  13. Sort Podcast by unlisten items

    There are several sorting possibilities but I like sort my podcasts by the number of unlisten items

  15. Turn up volume message if at 0%

    When you hit the Play button, check if the volume is at 0% and show a toast saying 'Please turn up the volume'. Similar to what WhatsApp does when playing an audio note.

  16. Use the native notification style

    As you all probably know, in Android 5 the default notification style uses white background and black/grey text, as opposed to older versions that used a dark gray background.

    Almost 3 years have passed since then... and the only app I have installed that still uses a dark notification is Podcast Addict. Even worse: it's not even the old style KK/JB notification style, it's black rather than dark grey, seems to be a completely custom color scheme.

    So... is there a reason PA keeps using this custom color scheme? It's really ugly on most current devices...

    Delivered in v3.43.3

    Next version will have a new setting allowing you to choose between Podcast Addict custom layout and the device default layout for the player notification. If you disable the Custom layout then you the player notification should use the proper background color.
    A 1st beta should be available later this weekend

  17. Previous in Shuffle mode goes to the last listened podcast

    Current behavior:
    When shuffled mode is turned on, previous goes to a random podcast.

    Example of current behavior:
    Hit shuffle, plays ep X
    Hit next by accident, plays ep Y
    Hit previous, plays podcast Z

    Expected behavior:
    Previous button should play the last listen item. This is useful because I might accidentally hit next but then I have no way of going back. Spotify uses this behavior for Previous.

    Example of Spotify behavior:
    Hit shuffle, plays ep X
    Hit next by accident, plays ep Y
    Hit previous, plays podcast X

    Next version of the app will allow you to return to the previous episode if you press next ONCE. If the current episode finishes, and the app skips to a random new episode, then pressing previous will skip to a random episode as well

  18. Song/Chapter info in widget / notification / in-app minimzed player notification.

    When you're in the full height in-app player, chapters will show up under the name of the podcast. This is not present in the widget, notification bar, or the bottom bar in-app player.

  19. intent pause download +manager

    Due to varying tariffs and bandwidth usage on my usual network connection, I'd like to use an intent from Tasker to automatically pause/ unpause the download manager at certain times of day or when other schedules or sitations happen (of course I can still manually pause/unpause it).

    Its a pain to change it so frequently in order to queue up downloads later that I don't need now. [I hunted hard to see if anyone else wrote this one, please comment with title/link to other if its a duplicate]

  20. Add a playlist order that will alternate between all the podcasts regardless of how old they are

    This is hard to explain in a title. I want to listen to all my podcasts in chronological order. However, because podcast 1 started in 2011, and podcast 2 starts in 2013, I'm stuck listing to podcast 1 in bulk for a long time.

    What would be great to have is a sort feature that would play the oldest (or newest, if you prefer that) episode of podcast 1, then the oldest of episode of podcast 2 (then oldest of podcast 3 or 4,etc). Once it's cycled through all the podcasts, it would then start on the second oldest of…
