Option to Disable Playlist
I don't use the Playlist feature, but the app automatically adds anything podcast I play to the playlist. As such, if I end a podcast before it finishes (such as when a podcast ends with an annoying song, or choose to revisit it at my convenience), I will automatically switched back to that when I finish listening to something else. As it stands I have to manually manage the downloaded files and/or playlist to avoid that nuisance... I'd really just rather turn of playlists entirely.
14 votesI will add a new setting in the next version to disable the playlist. In that case you will be able to play a single episode then the app will stop at the end
Edit:
Available in the latest v2.31.1 (Settings/Playlist) -
Support scheme relative URIs
Some podcasts (http://feeds.ancientfaith.com/GoForthAFR for example) are including schema relative URIs. See https://url.spec.whatwg.org/#concept-scheme-relative-url for an explanation of these.
Podcast Addict doesn't appear to understand these.
1 voteFeedburner just switched all its feeds to this a couple hours ago. A new version of the app is rolling out, but it will require to reset the feeds, or long press on the episodes and select ‘refresh from the RSS feed’’

Add multiple selection on playlist
today's playlist only allow individual config on one subscription, it's very inconvenient especially when shuffling the orders of podcasts manually....
with multiple select, you can easily group a few casts and move them upwards ...or at least have a quick "move to the top" "move to the bottom" option in the config list for playlist.35 votesEdit: Delivered in v3.21
Podcast Addict v3.21 will allow you to select multiple episodes in the playlist and to select one of the following action:
– remove from playlist
– delete
– move to top
– move to bottom
– reset playback positionA new beta including this feature will be published tomorrow.

Concurrent downloads
Sometimes an episode downloads very slowly while there are other podcasts waiting to be downloaded. Being able to download 2-4 episodes at the same time would help in this case.

More sorting options for downloaded shows.
I recently changed from Podkicker Pro to PA. I did this because I wanted the virtual podcast folder, which is great.
On thing that I miss horribly is the option to sort downloaded episodes by Podcast Title, episode date.
By doing this it was easy to add multiple shows from the same podcast to the playlist.
11 votesSince the last version (v2.28) you can filter the ‘Downloaded episodes’ screen by podcast. That should allow you to add downloaded episodes of the same podcast to the playlist more easily

Sort by filename
I want to be able to sort by file name (i.e. no sorting at all) so that I can listen to my offline podcasts from oldest to newest.
15 votesI will add a new sorting by file name, but it will only work for virtual podcasts.
It can also be used when playing a virtual podcast with Continuous playback enabledEdit: delivered in v3.17.1

Apply album artwork override to all episodes
If you apply an album artwork override, have it apply to each episode instead of just the main podcast image
Would even be cool with an artwork override option for downloaded episodes only.
I have a Samsung Galaxy s4 running kitkat and it displays the album artwork VERY prominently on the link screen - can be kind of embarrassing depending on what you listen to.

Fix lock screen widget to work with Android Lollipop
The widget does not work when 'Hide sensitive notification content' is set in Lollipop's 'Sound & notification' options.
Google's 'Play Music' widget does work when this option is set.

Regarding the issue I don’t see this setting. I only see “Show/Hide notifications”. Please give more detail about the issue.

Next version of the app will include a new playlist mode called ‘Automatic podcast playlist’ (at least for now).
This mode will disable the current playlist and all the ‘add to playlist’ / ‘remove from playlist’ menus and buttons.
When selected, this mode will work like this:Start playing an episode. The app will automatically build a playlist with all the unread episodes of the current podcast. If you press the play button on an episode from another podcast, the app will clear the current playlist and build a new one for the new podcast.
Please join the beta group to test this new feature as soon as it’s available (http://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/253911-how-to-join-the-beta-program). Feel free to let me know what you think about it. Every feedback is welcome.
Thanks
Edit: a new beta has just been published with this new feature. It should soon be…

Allow each podcast a custom default sort
In custom settings should be an option for the default sort for each podcasts. Some are easiest by name (books), while date by oldest first (catch up on podcasts), date by newest first (normal podcasts). There should also be a default sort choice for any without a custom setting.
4 votesIn the next version I will add a setting in Settings/Display/Custom sort per podcast
By default every podcast will display its episodes using the same order as the app last episodes/downloaded episodes/all episodes/…
If you enable this new setting, you will be able to customize the sorting for each podcastsEdit: This feature is available in the new v2.23.2 version which is currently rolling out.
The full rollout should be complete in a day or 2 -
Player's "Settings" sub-menu accessible from the Player's dropdown menu
Currently (v2.22.2), the Player's "Settings" sub-menu is only accessible from PA's main settings menu. It would be convenient\intuitive to have the Player's settings sub-menu also accessible from the Player's dropdown menu.
This could also apply to other "settings" sub-menus; Downloads, Playlist.

Timer menu "stay (or not) in Timer mode" switch on timer restart.
If my listening the playlist has stopped because I had set the timer, I am able to restart listening using the earphone play-pause button.
But this new listening session will not be controled by the timer. I thus have to switch the device on (which may disturb the lady sleeping next to me), press the Timer icon, then press "OK", and switch off.
A new option in the Timer menu could allow (or not) the subsequent listening sessions to work in this "blind, button only, permanent timer mode".4 votesDelivered in v3.39

Add "reset progress" option to long-press menu for items in playlist
I like this from within the individual podcasts view, but I'm dying for it from playlist (where I spend most time and most often want a quick way to reset progress without having to awkwardly slide the progress slider back).

Preview before subscribing
When you search for new podcasts, you can't preview anything about them. You can only see the title, logo, and first line of the description. Tapping on it immediately subscribes you. Provide a way to preview podcasts (description, available episode list, etc.) before subscribing.
57 votesThis feature has just been released in v3.16
From the search results press on the podcast (or long press), the select ‘Episodes’, you will then have the list of the podcast episodes, from which you can stream/download without having to subscribe firstBTW: I forgot to add this feature in the Discover podcasts screen, but it will be done later this week

Stop at end of the current episode should remove that episode
When the option to remove episode from playlist after playing is selected and we set the timer to stop after current episode, that episode should be removed from the playlist and marked as read. Right now, we we resume playback, that episode it's on the playlist as unread and starts playing.

allow choice for podcasts to download older episodes first
How can I choose what order to download episodes for podcasts? Some, like news, I would prefer the latest podcast first, while others, like chapters of a book, need to be sequential.
