  1. Keep record of deleted local files

    Once I have completed an audiobook, for instance, I'd like to delete the file from my phone to save space. However, it would be good to keep record of the played episodes (to track and count what have I already listened to). If I delete these files today, though, I will lose their data too.

    Next version of the app will update the virtual podcast listening stats when the episode is deleted, but the episode articles will remain deleted like it currently is.
    Please let me know if this would solve this issue.

  2. Android Auto: Control order of Menu Items

    I would like the ability to move the Menu Items to a custom order while in Android Auto, or at least match what is in the App. Podcasts is first in the App, but further down in Android Auto.

  3. Logo refresh

    For me addiction to podcast is not related to syringe. Syringe together with word "addiction" is totally negative symbol for me and is related with huge problems for some people. I really appreciate if you just consider about possibility to change the logo.

    Nobody wants to sit on the needle. It's not fun.
    Podcast addiction is fun.

  4. Default menu screen

    I would like a menu option that allows you to set a default filter when opening the app. perhaps the playlist filter set to newest first.

    This feature is available in the latest version of the App on the Play Store.
    On Android 2.x you can add a shortcut to your homescreen that can open the app on the Playlist or the Player.
    On Android 3.x and 4.x you will be able to do the same using the new Shortcut Widgets

  6. Provide "auto skip x seconds of epsiode start"

    A per podcast configurable setting to skip a specific amount of seconds of each episode start. I want to skip "commercials" when listening to multiple episodes...

  7. How do I find a specific episode of a podcast?

    For example, I can find the "Stuff You Should Know" podcast series by searching for it when the app opens. However, if I wanted to find a specific episode of this series, like "How do Flamethrowers Work?" I have no way to search for one specific episode in the series.

    This makes looking for episodes in larger podcast series, with hundreds of episodes, very difficult. Can we have a search function that lets us find a specific episode within a podcast series?

  8. Automatically delete containing folder when empty after deleting podcast

    Downloaded podcasts are organised into automatically created folders based on the subscription title, which is good as it groups the files together. However, when I delete the podcasts, it leaves the empty folders behind.
    It would be good if, maybe optionally, it would delete the containing folder automatically if it was empty after deleting a podcast.

  9. Show size of downloaded episodes

    In podcast "description" screen, display the sum in Megabytes of downloaded podcast episodes. Also one option to order podcast by size occupied on SD card. I want to know the biggests podcast (sum of all episodes). Thanks.

    The next version will display the storage space used by the podcast in its description screen. Unfortunately there won’t be any sorting by space used at the podcast level as this would be too slow to update

    Those informations are now available in the app

  10. Playlist (maybe elsewhere): have the ability to select multiple episodes and perform an action (e.g. delete/remove/move to bottom, etc.)

    Edit: Delivered in v3.21

    Podcast Addict v3.21 will allow you to select multiple episodes in the playlist and to select one of the following action:
    – remove from playlist
    – delete
    – move to top
    – move to bottom
    – reset playback position

    A new beta including this feature will be published tomorrow.
    Please join the beta tester group in order to test this

  11. Option to Disable Playlist

    I don't use the Playlist feature, but the app automatically adds anything podcast I play to the playlist. As such, if I end a podcast before it finishes (such as when a podcast ends with an annoying song, or choose to revisit it at my convenience), I will automatically switched back to that when I finish listening to something else. As it stands I have to manually manage the downloaded files and/or playlist to avoid that nuisance... I'd really just rather turn of playlists entirely.

  12. One touch variable speed on/off

    I'd like to be able to turn variable speed on and off with one touch. The high-speed selection would be whatever high speed was last used. This would be really handy for getting through commercials quickly, especially in the car.

  13. Create Custom Lists

    I often use podcasts for research into specific topics so being able to create custom lists and manually add podcasts to it would be great. The podcast search feature is great but to have additional manual control would be great too.

  14. Add an option to create a bookmark with double click remote control

    Add an option to create a bookmark with double click remote control (Settings > Player > Remote controls > Double Click).
    This wouldn't require any additional interaction from the user i.e. this wouldn't bring up the bookmarks screen.
    To be used when driving or exercising.

  15. Allow headset triple click to rewind 15 seconds

    I know this has been posted, but from what I have seen, it has not been addressed by the devs. If it is not possible, that is fine, but many of us who listen via headsets would heavily use this feature.

  16. Add file size to download warning

    I love the "force download" warning when you're trying to download an episode with data downloads turned off. However, it would be cool if the file size was included in the warning, for concerned data users like myself.

  18. A feature to automatically enque new episodes to the playlist, even if not downloaded (stream only)

    I stream all podcasts instead of downloading to save space. I'd like to be able to have the option for each podcast title to automatically enque new episodes to the playlist as they are released.

  19. Set default view to "Downloaded Episodes".

    I would like an option to set the "default view" or homescreen when I launch the app to show only downloaded episodes. Since I have automatic downloads set up, usually this is the screen that I want to see most often, since the majority of what I want to listen to has already been loaded for me.

  20. show stream quality in radio overview (as when adding or in properties)

    show stream quality [kbps|kbit/s] in radio station overview for all those stations already added (as when adding or in properties)!!

    Helpful when about to decide whether to stream whilst online via 4G data plan or when on a free WiFi.
