  1. allow choice for podcasts to download older episodes first

    How can I choose what order to download episodes for podcasts? Some, like news, I would prefer the latest podcast first, while others, like chapters of a book, need to be sequential.

  2. Add "reset progress" option to long-press menu for items in playlist

    I like this from within the individual podcasts view, but I'm dying for it from playlist (where I spend most time and most often want a quick way to reset progress without having to awkwardly slide the progress slider back).

  3. Recalculate the total time and time remaining on podcasts playing at speeds faster or slower than 1x.

    Currently, when you run a podcast at a different speed, the time remaining and the total time remain the same, and time remaining just ticks by faster or slower than normal. This makes it difficult to gauge how much time the podcast will take to listen to if you are trying to cram an episode into a specified period of time.

  5. add webm format support in virtual podcast folder

    Webm format not detected in virtual folder. This extension is supported by android and should be added to the app. Thank you.

  6. option to hide shuffle button on Player screens

    Since I never EVER want to shuffle-play my podcasts, but sometimes inadvertently hit the shuffle button (and don't realize it till much later), I'd like the option to hide those buttons on the Player screens.

    Any time I start listening to a podcast, generate a tweet with the episode title and a link to the podcast.

  10. option to hid the new option tile when listing podcast episodes

    v.3.0 added the option tile at the top when listing podcast episodes.
    It takes nearly half my screen, and is not helpful as there are other ways to access feed options. I would like to be able to hide/remove it, basically to restore the previous view

    In trash (if nothing selected), clicking on icon "Delete"/"Restore" app should ask
    "Delete (Restore) ALL episodes in trash?" - Yes/No
    and perform that action

  13. Filter Keywords with OR Functionality

    Right now, keywords separated by a comma work as an AND filter. ALL keywords must be present in an item for it to pass the filter.

    I would like to request the ability to change this to OR functionality, such that an item will pass the filter if ANY of the keywords is present.

    Alternatively, I would like to suggest that multiple keyword searches be allowed. Say I follow a news podcast. It would be great if I could filter it based on my interests so that I get news based on, say, sports in new york OR healthy living…

    I use Podcast Addict exclusively for listening to information broadcasts. Regularly use a change in the rate of listening. I would like to be able to more convenient and easier to change the speed. For example, in the speed setting to make buttons with preset values, clicking on that will change the rate and close the window. Something like this: http://www.picshare.ru/view/6601263/
    Ideally, in the settings to make flexible customization options. For example, in the embodiment of the screenshot text string: "1, 1.5, 1.8, 2.0"

    This will be added in the new version. You will have to go into Settings/Sliding menu and enable the playback history entry.

  18. Add a Pause Download Button

    In Australia we still use tin cans and copper wire for our internet connection. When I'm trying to stream something or play vidya games I can not be downloading podcasts. To stop an automatic update from draining bandwidth I need to force stop the app. I can't listen to a podcast at all while downloads are qued.

  19. Android auto resume on connect

    When Android auto starts, if podcast addict is the selected audio app, resume playback immediately. Pandora has this functionality.

    Edit: delivered in the last version (v3.23)

    I will add this in the next version.
    Playback will resume automatically based the following setting: Settings/Player/Resume on connection

    Can you please let me know if unplugging the device pauses it automatically?

  20. standard notification bar Transparency level

    some devices, there are cases in which a transparent or Translucent notification background.
    If the improvement enables you to adjust, it will look much cleaner.

    Next version will have a new setting allowing you to choose between Podcast Addict custom layout and the device default layout for the player notification. If you disable the Custom layout then you the player notification should use the proper background color.
    A 1st beta should be available later this weekend
