Add scan option for old download directory
It would be nice to add the option to scan for already dowloaded episodes stored, e.g., on an sdcard.
I used to download episodes on the sdcard in a custom directory. I had to factory reset my phone and after reinstalling the podcast addict I would like to match the already downloaded episodes on the sdcard with RSS feeds.
I re-subscribed to the podcast feed and set the download directory to my old one on sdcard, but podcast addict still shows episodes as to be downloaded.
Not sure this is already possible in some way; I couldn't find this in already posted ideas.
Thanks
Next Beta will have a new feature for this

Same request, really. I have a slow Internet connection, so I download Podcasts over night. I bought a larger SD card and transferred the files; but now I have lost the downloaded episodes from Podcast Addict. Pity.

I would like to second this ideas as well. My phone was water damaged but I had my podcasts in the SD Card folder. Unfortunately, I have no way to recover from the SD card which means, I would have to re-subscribe to 100+ podcasts. That's a lot of manual work.

Regarding your question, no it's not possible.
You can only link those files to the app data by restoring a backup.
For now you can add a virtual podcast to listen to those files in the app, but there won't be linked to your subscriptions. -

Is it not possible to match file names from RSS URIs with local file names on the fly?
