Option to mark as played automatically before the end of the episode
Most podcasts I listen to end every episode with minutes of pointless shilling / promo / contact info / thanks for listening / end theme / whatever.
I always skip directly to the next episode, but the annoying thing is that podcast addict does not automatically mark an episode as played unless you have listened to 100% of it. This means I have to manually mark as played every episode I listen to on most podcasts.
It would be awesome to have an option to tell podcast addict "mark as played X minutes from the end" or something like that.
Thanks for this awesome app, keep up the good work!
You can already do this by using the ‘Skpi outro’ feature in the podcast custom settings. The app will then automatically skip the last XX seconds of the podcast

I'd also really like the feature that was actually requested, as a global setting. "Skip outro" is not the same as auto-marking an episode as played if it's been listened-to within X seconds of the end.

I think the intention of the idea here is to have option for if you have listen to X percent of the podcast, then it will be marked as played. I would probably opt to have this occur after only 20% has been played, since then I might skip to another if it was dull.
However it shouldn't then delete these episodes. Perhaps an additional setting that says 'delete unfinished played episodes after X days'

I agree with the original request. I don't believe that the skip outro is the same and also is not a global setting. If you had a feature to mark item as played once a specified amount was played like 90%. This would then not true you to have to skip to the end of the podcast and can just stop it instead. Also this setting should be global and not only be applied to each podcast.

To avoid duplicate suggestions, I'd like you to reconsider this even if previously declined. At least differentiate between "played" and "finished". Sometimes a podcast isn't all that good, and is skipped halfway through. Why should they be required to fast forward til the end? And even if someone uses the outro skip feature for outro ads, I can't imagine each and every outro even in the same podcast would be a similar length.
