Clearing custom playlist
A custom playlist was made automatically and I don't want it. When I connect to my audio player in my car, it goes to the custom playlist and not my audio playlist. How can I clear that playlist ? or delete it.
This means that you’re currently playing from the custom playlist. Please start playing from the Audio playlist to stop this behavior.
The custom playlist cannot be cleared. You can just select another category to update its content, but unless you start playing from that screen it won’t be used

I don't ever start playing from that list - and when I subscribe to a new podcast it automatically puts all episodes into that list! It only allows me to select one at a time rather than clear the entire list - I'm seriously thinking of finding a different podcast app.

I have this same problem. It adds things to the custom playlist on its own, without me telling it to - how/why? And once it does that, it defaults to playing the custom playlist, not the audio playlist.

I understand the foolishness of disagreeing with the developer but the facts are the facts. The app defaults back to custom on its own despite the user never having made any such decision. In my nearly 10 years of use it has never done that before recently.

I also want to remove the Custom playlist. It's a time wasting feature for me.

Hi I still can't clear items from my custom playlist no matter what I do. My player doesn't default to it. It's more an annoyance that I have old podcasts, that I didn't add to a custom playlist, and don't really need to be there. Thanks

The behavior described by Xavier is not accurate, as of version 2020.4.
I got the same problem. The app keeps defaulting back to the custom playlist even though I never use it. Quite annoying. -

I figured it out! Click on the three dots in upper right corner. Click on select. Then three dots again and click select all. To the left of the trashcan is square with a minus sign. Click on that. Then they are gone!!

i never use the custom playlist yet it repeatedly gets podcasts added to it. it keeps episodes i mark as played so as to delete them, and it lists episodes i didn't want to listen to in the first place.
there needs to be a way to shut it off and clear it. i don't even know why it exist as it seems redundant in a useless way. -

Even if I play the "audio" list, the widget always displays the counter of the custom playlist and the player starts with custom playlist when I plug my earphone in.

Look on the screen where your playlist appears. You'll see three tabs:
AUDIO VIDEO CUSTOM
If you're playing the custom playlist, you have the custom tab selected. To play the list that you have chosen, select the AUDIO tab. You'll see your list there.

@Shawn
Nothing is overridden
Your audio playlist remains unmodified.
Unless you're using the custom playlist tab, the app will keep playing from your playlist
Please send me an email with more detail about this issue so I can understand the problem you're facing (Settings/Feedback)

This is ridiculous to have all of our playlists that we have already created automatically over ridden by the custom playlist. I understand that adding more playlists is nice but it is obscene that it will take over for the users that do not want to use it. I have been using podcast addict for a long time and this is making me seek out another app to use instead. There needs to be a option to turn this off.
