Cannot dismiss player notification once paused on Android Pie
Coming from Android Marshmallow, now on Android Pie I cannot dismiss the player notification (e.g., once paused) even if the app has been removed from Recents. I have to force closing the app to dismiss the player notification.

You need to press on the player notification ‘X’ button to close it

There are some audio apps, like Google play music that allow the player notification to be closed using a swipe. From a usability perspective it is nice to dismiss the player when I have disconnected my headphones and I am done with my podcasts, with a deliberate swipe to discard.

This is a terrible design, the old way of swiping worked so much better and without issue. Why are you forcing this when it seems like most everyone on here is asking for the old way of swiping to be returned?
