Allow temporarily 3G download
If you want to temporarily download a podcast on 3G connection (short podcast/no Wifi connection...), you need to deactivate Wifi download, download the podcast then reactivate WiFi download.
Adding a "Force download" in podcast menu will be great :)
Until I implement a ‘real’ download manager, the next version will allow you to long press on an episode in the ‘Download manager screen’ and select ‘Force download’. This will allow to download THIS episode while bypassing the app network settings. This flag will reset when the app gets killed or the if the device is rebooted. If you don’t enable this in for the first episode in the download queue, then it won’t do anything until the 1st episode is downloaded.
This will be implemented in the next version (v3.3)
Edit: Delivered in v3.3

By default, Podcast Addict is set up to Download and Stream only when connected to a Wi-Fi connection. You can change those default settings by opening Settings/Network. Then if you want to authorize streaming over 3G/4G connections you need to uncheck the Wi-Fi only checkbox on the 'Streaming' line.

I'd like it only with the option to get a prompt like "are you really sure etc." because a mistake can easily happen (eg while roaming).

I will add a real download manager with a way to pause, force and reorganize downloads. It should be the next major improvement of the app

Good idea. Just reluctantly disabled WiFi only stream. Some sort of popup windows style "do you really want to do this" would work great.

What happens is that I forget to reset the only on wifi setting after downloading a specific podcast and then have my monthly bw cap drained the next time I update... Avoidable with a "force download/stream once" option

I was just about to request this feature when I saw this... Please implement...

I think the "wifi only" option should just apply to automatic downloads. I have several that download overnight, and I don't want to use a ton of data if for some reason it isn't connected to wifi. But if I manually hit download, I see it as my responsibility to know how much data will be used and what sort of connection I'm on.
