A list of the meanings of all the different action/navigation icons (like the + icon for example) please.
I think it is a great app, but i don't know the meanings of the various icons that you can hit for various actions or to navigate - could this be listed somewhere please?? Thank you
Please update to the latest version of the app. You will find an Help menu in the Main screen.

This is the RSS icon. This means that this entry has no media file attached. It's just a blog post entry.
Maybe the podcast owner forgot to attach the episode file when publishing it, in that case once fixed by the owner, you can long press on the episode and select 'Refresh from rss feed'
Please contact me in case you have a question instead of asking here (Settings/Feedback)
Thanks -

there's one icon I can't find in the help menu list. It appears in the same place as the speaker icon on episodes in my feed. it's a dot with two concentric lines arcing around it in a 1/4 circle. Looks kinda like a wifi symbol. When I click on those episodes, I get nothing but a description of the episode.

It's done automatically once you subscribe to a podcast. You can still press the podcast update button, to force an update, but if the url isn't a valid RSS feed or if the podcast server is down the update will fail. Please contact me with the podcast information & RSS feed url so I can help you (Settings/Feedback)

You have a list of icons and their meaning in the main screen help menu.
The speaker menu means it's an audio file. The toolbar button can be long pressed like any other toolbar button to display it's meaning. It will mark the episode as 'read' -

Xavier - I just updated the app. I see the Help 'menu', but it just shows a list off buttons and icons names/description, but not the icons or buttons themselves - it does not show what they look like, Each name or description just has a small ? next to it.

That help entry sounds great - thanks Xavier!

I agree about the Playlist button. But I had to make the + button visible because I was having bad feedback of users that didn't know how to subscribe to podcasts. They never try opening the menu...
I will change all this in the v2.0, so the navigation should be a lot more intuitive -

I'll tag on here... I'd rather the playlist button be on the right instead of "hidden" in the logo. I'd rather it be where the add button is, since I do that a lot less.

The + icon allows you to add podcasts (even though there're many ways to do it).
On the left of the + button is the eye button. If you long press on it it will tell you that it allows to show/hide seen content. On the right of the + button it's either the default menu button that expand the menu (more actions) or the next action which allows you to switch from a list view to a grid view display. -

Xavier - thanks much - that long hold is a great tip - I have not seen that before.
The other icons are those to the left and right of the + icon on the top of the screen that shows all your podcast. Those your tip works great for, although the + icon actually does more than just allow you to add podcasts, hitting it takes you to a menu like screen where you can do a lot of podcast related stuff.I still think it would be useful to newbies to have a basic write up of how to use the app, including what the various symbols mean.
Anyway, thanks again for your help - great tip indeed.

Which icons are you talking about ?
FYI you can long press on most of the ActionBar buttons to have a small description.
