Enable ducking for Google Maps/other navigation voice instructions
The app doesn't seem to handle Google Maps instructions like other notifications. It would be very helpful to ensure volume is lowered for these like in other apps. It does not currently do so for me.
This is exactly what the app is doing. But on some devices this doesn’t work. In that case you can just enable Settings/Player/Pause upon notification. It will pause and then resume the playback

FYI the app doesn't mute itself no matter which settings you're using. If can lower its volume when the app loses the audio focus, but it has no impact on other apps and the volume is only lowered not muted -

Just to clarify, I previously listened to podcasts using MP3 player (from the Play store), which reduced its volume to about 20% successfully while Maps was talking, then up to 100% afterwards with no problems.

Hey,
I currently have this problem. I found the solution listed above, checked the setting and found it already configured that way. I have my Nexus 5X connected via Bluetooth to my Skoda Octavia. Whenever I listen to Podcasts using Podcast Addict, whenever Maps wants to talk, the volume is lowered to 0 while Maps talks, then Podcast Addict play resumes as normal afterwards. When I see that the volume has dropped to 0 I can manually raise it and hear Maps talk, however, automatically it is always lowered to 0.
