Sort virtual folders by path and filename
Easier when filenames are numbered but tags are not
I will add a new sorting by file name, but it will only work for virtual podcasts.
It can also be used when playing a virtual podcast with Continuous playback enabled
Edit: delivered in v3.17.1

Thanks, Xavier. This will be a big help.

For a virtual podcast that spans many folders it's important to sort by folder & filename together. I have many lectures on mp3s sorted in categories by a folder structure. Seems natural when the task is file management. However playing these in file system order is not possible now. Perhaps take a look at Poweramp Folder capabilities. With Poweramp it's trivial to create a playlist in filesystem order across many folders. There is also a very nice manual playlist sorting functionality.

I have the same problem with a series of language files copied over from the PC. Really surprised this wasn't already included. Priceless for virtual folders. (DoggCatcher handles this as expected, but I way prefer Podcast Addict.) Until this is addressed, you can use a piece of donateware called Mp3tag. First, get your filenames the way you want them (I use "Bulk Rename Utility") and then run Mp3tag to make the tags match the filenames, after which Podcast Addict can sort them as desired. Gratefully, Xavier is busy keeping this the best podcast app available, but I hope he will soon add "sort by filename" to save us all a major headache. :-)

I sometimes use the app for listening to audiobook mp3's and end up having to manually sort playlist items by listening to the first couple seconds where they say the chapter number and then dragging the file to roughly where it should be in the list. Super tedious. Still worth it for now since I like having a single app for podcasts and DRM-free audiobooks.
Would want the file name sort feature in the podcast view so I could use it without disrupting the rest of my playlist ordering.
