I figure, have the user mark the beginning and end of the segment and the app then identifies these segments by their audio print and auto skips them, or, have the user identify the start of the segment and the app takes a 1 second sample for print identification and skips forward an amount of time defined by the user.
This would be excellent for skipping delayed intros, like the OP says, and generally for enhancing the intro/ outro skip functions, as well as any regular segments in a podcast that you don't care for such as long musical segues between portions of an episode.

I'm doing some testing to check if I can implement this audio efect. However in order to test this I would need some sample files whith different audio levels between them or even within. Can you please send me an email with either link to some episodes (Settings/Feedback/Send email)?
Thanks

There is a way to do this if you have downloaded your episodes:
App settings > Automatic cleanup > Mark Played on deletion
Toggle this setting on and when you delete episodes from your playlist they will mark played.
If you don't download your episodes first, I'm not sure if there is a setting to achieve this.
