  1. When adding local audiobooks, treat each subfolder as a different book (podcast)

    Allow adding a top level folder and treat each subfolder as a different AudioBook. Perhaps treat spillover files not in a subfolder as a 'misc' podcast

  2. Use the native notification style

    As you all probably know, in Android 5 the default notification style uses white background and black/grey text, as opposed to older versions that used a dark gray background.

    Almost 3 years have passed since then... and the only app I have installed that still uses a dark notification is Podcast Addict. Even worse: it's not even the old style KK/JB notification style, it's black rather than dark grey, seems to be a completely custom color scheme.

    So... is there a reason PA keeps using this custom color scheme? It's really ugly on most current devices...

    Next version will have a new setting allowing you to choose between Podcast Addict custom layout and the device default layout for the player notification. If you disable the Custom layout then you the player notification should use the proper background color.
    A 1st beta should be available later this weekend

  3. Song/Chapter info in widget / notification / in-app minimzed player notification.

    When you're in the full height in-app player, chapters will show up under the name of the podcast. This is not present in the widget, notification bar, or the bottom bar in-app player.

  5. intent pause download +manager

    Due to varying tariffs and bandwidth usage on my usual network connection, I'd like to use an intent from Tasker to automatically pause/ unpause the download manager at certain times of day or when other schedules or sitations happen (of course I can still manually pause/unpause it).

    Its a pain to change it so frequently in order to queue up downloads later that I don't need now. [I hunted hard to see if anyone else wrote this one, please comment with title/link to other if its a duplicate]

  6. Even-spaced playlist sort

    I'd like to suggest an even-spaced playlist sort so that episodes aren't played back to back and spread out as evenly as possible so if fo example I have a playlist of podcasts AABBCADB, I could then sort it to ABCABDAB, giving me two episodes between each A and B

  7. Add volume boost to video podcast

    Please consider adding volume boost to video podcasts and also increasing the boosting level available for audio podcasts. This is really important due to bother the varying published audio levels of the casts as well as the varying playback devices, both local and Bluetooth that we use for listening.

  9. Option to keep episodes in playlist when unsubscribing from a pod

    When unsubscribing a podcast you get a warning that all downloaded data will be deleted. I would like a checkbox with "Keep episodes added to your playlist". Since you can add episodes to your playlist from podcasts that you don't subscribe to I was surprised to notice that all the episodes disappeared from my playlist when I unsubscribed.

    The new version has an option to keep all the podcast data when unsubscribing. Only the subscription status will be changed which means that the podcast will stop receiving new episodes. The podcast will still be visible on the app main screen

  13. Add playback speed in custom settings

    It would be nice if the playback speed for each podcast could be found in the custom settings of the podcast. This would not only let me know what speed I have that podcast set at but would save a couple of clicks in adjusting the speed (depending on the screen I am starting at).

    Add time saved (or lost:) by listening at increased/decreased playback speed to global statistics screen.

    It will be great if we could filter by category in the downloaded episodes space.

  18. sort the

    When displaying all podcasts can there be an option to sort without having podcasts starting with "The" be considered a T? Ex. "The Dead Author's Podcast" would be listed as a D ("Dead Author's Podcast")

  19. Ability to batch download 2 episodes

    Currently you can download 1, 3, 5, 10 etc. Episodes in a podcast. I would like the ability to download 2 episodes as well

  20. Create Custom Lists

    I often use podcasts for research into specific topics so being able to create custom lists and manually add podcasts to it would be great. The podcast search feature is great but to have additional manual control would be great too.
