  1. Transcripted podcast

    About five billion potential customers of this application do not understand English well. And it is necessary for the customer to be able to add a subtitle and this subtitle can be shared between different people, such as the musixmatch application, because the subtitle helps to better understand the podcast.   2. Lecteur de musiques

    Bonjour
    J utilise poddecast addict tous les jours et j ai insérer un dossier de mes musiques dans le dossier de téléchargement pour les écouter via votre application car je trouve le rendu sonore bien meilleur
    Serait il de parfaire votre application en incluant un lecteur de musique

    l’App te permet déjà d’écouter n’importe quel contenu. En revanche l’App reste un lecteur de podcast avant tout et n’est pas forcément optimisée pour la musique. N’hésites pas à me contacter si tu as des questions

  3. Have an option to delete without marking played

    I far too frequently find myself accidentally downloading the wrong episode, but I still want to listen to it eventually. It'd be nice not to have to go into the podcast, show all, and then mark the deleted episode unplayed afterwards. A simple option to delete without marking as read would go a long way

  4. See size of downloaded podcasts from main screen (little number with MB/GB)

    Would like to know how much space each podcast is using locally so I know what to clean up sooner.

    Have 40GB used by podcast addict "data" in storage manager which doesn't help.

  5. Move the slider or download button

    Move the slider or download button so when i download episodes that's really old, i dont accidentally click on the slide and shoot up the episode list and have to keep scrolling back down again and again

  6. Add timer setting to downloaded episodes

    I miss this feature because the player auto advances to other downloaded episodes. They are downloaded because they are important. Importance doesn't mean they are right for my mood.

    Moving from my funniest downloaded series to my saddest downloaded series happens all the time.

    With the timer feature, I would put stop at end of chapter on and then manually select which download to play next. (The automatic playlist is a muddle of work and play, happy and sad, long and short episodes.)

    The app plays episodes based on the content of your playlist. You can customize the playlist content any way you want to or for example, select the podcast or category you want to listen to.
    You can already use the app sleep timer to stop playback at the end of the current episode

  7. Bit-perfect mode in PA?

    Hello, is it possible at some point to implement bit-perfect mode for PA, similar to audio players like UAAP, or Neutron? As you know, main reason behind this is to improve audio quality by avoiding upsampling by native Android driver to 48KHz. It's very useful when using external hi-fi dac connected through usb port.

  8. Better handling of episode ending (ExoPlayer).

    Troubleshoot if this problem is implementation or dependency.

    May be ExoPlayer problem: Does not play episode till the end.

    With and without changing play speed, audio stops playing (some milliseconds) before the actual podcast episode ends.

    In some podcasts they have unique show endings and this cuts last word out.

    In my mind this is not a problem that podcast MAKERS should sidestep, but player should play everything in stream.

    I have not yet tried to find out if this is mp3-coding type (vbr vs cbr) related, but it's somewhat annoying.

    Playback is handled by the selected player engine.
    There’s nothing I can do if the player engine somehow misses the end of the file. The app has just a passive role here and will only mark the episode as played and skip to the next one when notified by the player engine that playback is completed

  9. Lock screen options

    please add more options and functionality to lock screen. For example the option, that function buttons cover half or all of lock screen instead of only a small part at the top.

    It looks like you’re using the device’s built-in media player lock screen widget. Please disable it from the device Settings, then instead you will see the app player notification to control the playback from the lock screen

  10. No played stamp if sleep timer on.

    Do not (or make it an option not to) mark podcasts as played, or remove them from the playlist, once the sleep timer is activated.
    I like to fall asleep to my shows, but I still want to actually listen to them during the day.

  14. Have volume setting for ads

    Ads are always significantly louder than the podcasts, requiring constant adjustment. It would be nice if we could have a setting to adjust the ad volumes. They need to be about 50% of their current volume, so that they're not physically painful. I'd rather they be too quiet than painful.

  15. Bug Fix: RSS Sync Deleted episodes

    When an episode is purged (at the server end) from an RSS feed, it is not removed unless the feed is completely reset, which is very inconvenient. Even if the server sends an HTTP 410 response (Content Gone) to a download request, the app tries to download it still (and instantly says it timed out). A 205 response (Reset and Retry) just loops several times before failing. If set to only download one episode at a time, this causes the feed to stop entirely, stuck on the now non-existent episode.   17. Add a play next button

    I think it'd be very user friendly to have a play next button, so that when the episode you're listening to its finished, it automatically goes to that specific episode.

    I get that I could create a playlist, however, I normally don't really know what I want to listen to next when I start a podcast, but while listening I'm often sparked by something and want to click on a specific episode to listen to next. It'd work like the play next button when watching YouTube on chromecast.

    Please take a look at the FAQs for more information about the playlist/Continuous playback mode (Settings/FAQs)
    Every episode has a ‘add to playlist’ button. This means that this episode will play after the current one ends when playing from the audio playlist

  18. Podcast header with accent background

    hello, it would be nice if you could change the background of the podcast header. At the moment it's black, any color or an accent from the cover picture would be nice

  19. Add a way to clear backlog from New Episodes lists

    After I add a new podcast, or they do something that refreshes their feed so all episodes show up as new again, the full backlog of episodes from that podcast shows up on the New Episodes list every time I sync. I currently have 800 episodes from two podcasts that refreshed their feeds.

    I couldn't find a way to clear those from New Episodes without swiping through every single one. I don't want to mark them all played because they aren't played. Now every time I sync, they show up again.

  20. Shuffle played/unplayed episodes

    For some podcasts, it doesn't matter what order you listen to them in, but it's fun to turn it on and be surprised. Other times, it's fun to relisten to podcast episodes in no particular order.
