Add favorite podcasts feature to force selected podcasts to the top of the playlist
note - this is different than existing favorite episodes feature
I want to list to my podcasts in this order:
1-MobileTechRoundup (~60 minutes, updates roughly weekly)
2-NPR News (~5 minutes, updates hourly)
3-WSJ Tech Briefing (~5min, updates twice a day)
4-bunch of other short podcasts
5-bunch of other long podcasts
Using the available sort options doesn't allow me to listen in this order (I have been using stitcher which does let you do this). I think having a favorites flag will allow me to use the sort by duration with the exception of playing my selected favorites first.
I will add a priority setting for every podcast. It will be available by long pressing the podcast and selecting ‘Custom settings’.
Once the priorities are set, you will be able to sort the podcast list (main screen) and/or the playlist by priorities.
Edit: delivered in v2.1.0

I would also be very interested by this kind of feature, mainly to 'automatically' hear first the daily short podcasts, then only the long weekly ones.

I was just about to make this suggestion myself!
I wonder whether it would be worth extending so that (in your example above) you could specify that NPR news would only keep the latest few episodes in the playlist. That way you might only have the latest episode in the list even if you've not had chance to listen for a couple of weeks.
Perhaps also reverse sorting the date order for some podcasts too? E.g. news podcasts might be good to have in reverse order so that you could listen to the latest news. However a longer serialised podcast should be listened to oldest first.

Yes It would be nice if we can choose a priority level for each podcast. So podcast with priority 1 will all be played first, then podcast with priority 2 ...
