  1. PA now missing from android pull down list of active apps

    PA 2020.15d (build 20322). Moto G Plus. Recently updated to Android 10.
    Before and since the system update to Android 10, PA stopped showing in the pull down active apps list. So if I want to change podcast, rew/FF I now have to open the app from the home screen rather than just pull the list down and short press PA. Is this a bug or intended and will PA return to the active app list?

  2. Make multiple downloads run parallel

    Right now episodes are downloaded sequentially. So if I click "download" on 10 episodes, but episode 2 is from a slow podcast host, the fast downloads stay queued until it completes.

    Ideally downloads run in parallel (or at least 1 parallel per podcast).

  3. Play just the audio of a video, not the image

    There are audio and video podcasts. I would like to play video files as they were just audio files.

  5. Add a setting to limit downloads based on time

    I don't want episodes downloaded if they are under 5 minutes or over 2 hours, like I hate when an episode downloads and it's the teaser for the premium version smh

  6. Make reordering the playlist intuitive

    I don't understand why this hasn't been a feature from the beginning. I want to manually order my playlist while in the playlist. I want to long press an episode and drag it where I want.

  7. Lecteur de musiques

    Bonjour
    J utilise poddecast addict tous les jours et j ai insérer un dossier de mes musiques dans le dossier de téléchargement pour les écouter via votre application car je trouve le rendu sonore bien meilleur
    Serait il de parfaire votre application en incluant un lecteur de musique

    l’App te permet déjà d’écouter n’importe quel contenu. En revanche l’App reste un lecteur de podcast avant tout et n’est pas forcément optimisée pour la musique. N’hésites pas à me contacter si tu as des questions

  8. Have an option to delete without marking played

    I far too frequently find myself accidentally downloading the wrong episode, but I still want to listen to it eventually. It'd be nice not to have to go into the podcast, show all, and then mark the deleted episode unplayed afterwards. A simple option to delete without marking as read would go a long way

  9. See size of downloaded podcasts from main screen (little number with MB/GB)

    Would like to know how much space each podcast is using locally so I know what to clean up sooner.

    Have 40GB used by podcast addict "data" in storage manager which doesn't help.

  10. Move the slider or download button

    Move the slider or download button so when i download episodes that's really old, i dont accidentally click on the slide and shoot up the episode list and have to keep scrolling back down again and again

  11. Add timer setting to downloaded episodes

    I miss this feature because the player auto advances to other downloaded episodes. They are downloaded because they are important. Importance doesn't mean they are right for my mood.

    Moving from my funniest downloaded series to my saddest downloaded series happens all the time.

    With the timer feature, I would put stop at end of chapter on and then manually select which download to play next. (The automatic playlist is a muddle of work and play, happy and sad, long and short episodes.)

    The app plays episodes based on the content of your playlist. You can customize the playlist content any way you want to or for example, select the podcast or category you want to listen to.
    You can already use the app sleep timer to stop playback at the end of the current episode

  12. chromecast: start playback on last player

    The chromecast destination has to be selected each time the cast is started. I mostly use the same device for playback, so an option to auto-connect to the last used device would be a great help, especially when using a widget to start playback.

    Everything related to the Chromecast is handled by the Google Play Services via their Chromecast button
    Sorry but this button cannot be displayed on a widget and once disconnected from the Chromecast you will have to open the app and connect again

  13. No played stamp if sleep timer on.

    Do not (or make it an option not to) mark podcasts as played, or remove them from the playlist, once the sleep timer is activated.
    I like to fall asleep to my shows, but I still want to actually listen to them during the day.

  15. Allow manual reordering of playlist even with sorting rules set

    I have my playlist sorted the way I like it (priority>name>publication date) but I would also like to be able to manually drag-and-drop individual podcasts to set up a playing order. Sometimes my daily morning podcasts are released in a different order than usual and I would like to be able to listen to them in whatever I order I choose (without having to manually select it after each podcast is done).

  18. Have volume setting for ads

    Ads are always significantly louder than the podcasts, requiring constant adjustment. It would be nice if we could have a setting to adjust the ad volumes. They need to be about 50% of their current volume, so that they're not physically painful. I'd rather they be too quiet than painful.

  19. Bug Fix: RSS Sync Deleted episodes

    When an episode is purged (at the server end) from an RSS feed, it is not removed unless the feed is completely reset, which is very inconvenient. Even if the server sends an HTTP 410 response (Content Gone) to a download request, the app tries to download it still (and instantly says it timed out). A 205 response (Reset and Retry) just loops several times before failing. If set to only download one episode at a time, this causes the feed to stop entirely, stuck on the now non-existent episode. I have verified that RSS Sync is enabled; new episodes…

  20. Add a play next button

    I think it'd be very user friendly to have a play next button, so that when the episode you're listening to its finished, it automatically goes to that specific episode.

    I get that I could create a playlist, however, I normally don't really know what I want to listen to next when I start a podcast, but while listening I'm often sparked by something and want to click on a specific episode to listen to next. It'd work like the play next button when watching YouTube on chromecast.

    Please take a look at the FAQs for more information about the playlist/Continuous playback mode (Settings/FAQs)
    Every episode has a ‘add to playlist’ button. This means that this episode will play after the current one ends when playing from the audio playlist
