Some podcasts ordered from New to old, others from old to new, instead of having to change the episode sort order all the time.

Lately I can't subscribe to ivoox.com podcast. Don't know if something changed, because in the past I subscribed to some podcast from there and I am still subscribed. (If I could see the rss podcast addict has of them it would be helpful).
Ivoox is a formidable podcast platform with a huge amount of podcast. I think it should be studied to make it easier to subscribe to those podcasts.

If a feed is deprecated, then you won’t get any more content.

a override for individual podcasts playbackspeed.
To listen with faster speed works now very well, it is too good that you can fix it for all but sometimes you need normal or slower speed for learning a language, piano or just listen to a meditation podcast. Tested all podcasts and yours is for me the best! Thanks for your great work.

Add a feature to add an episode (or subscription) to the playlist from a browser
I usually find new podcasts, or just interesting episodes, when I'm on the browser on the laptop. I'd like an option to add those episodes or subscriptions to the app.
Either with chrome extension, ITTT integration, sending an email...or any other option.3 votesYou can already do that by sending the RSS feed / episode url via email, pushbullet or any other kind of sharing mechanism.
The app will then react to the RSS feed opening on your device and will ask you if you want to subscribe to it. In case you share an episode url Android will ask you to select the app you want to open the url with. Selecting Podcast Addict will add it to your playlist. -
Change play order to "older to newer"
Whem I'm trying to catch up on a series I want to listen to the oldest to the newest. Your player plays "down" the list, not up.
This can be default or an option in settings.
3 votesThe app plays episodes based on your queue order. You can reorder the episodes manually via drag and drop or press on the toolbar sort button to change the order. Feel free to send me an email if you have more question (Settings/feedback)

Please add iTunes U as a category or otherwise provide a way to browse it.
1 voteI’m sorry but I don’t understand what you mean by ‘adding as a category’. Apple doesn’t provide any API to access this content so it cannot be browse outside iTunes.
You can how ever use tools to find the RSS feed behind the iTunes U url and then subscribe to this podcast in the app using its RSS feed url. -
Stop phoning home every time I fast forward.
Every time the updated app fast forwards it stops in order to connect to tracking.feedpress.it. What in the blue blazes of hell made you think this was acceptable behavior?
1 voteAs explained via email, this is just the app buffering some more content from the podcast server.
This means that this server is hosted on a domain called feedpress.it
Other podcast can use different hosting platform. If you download the episode first you can listen to the episode offline without needing to re-buffer -

Je ne retrouve pas comment faire pour telecharger une emmission de radio france ou de France culture ou bfm ou RTL ou Europe1 dont je connais le titre ou le réalisateur ou l'heure de diffusion ou ...merci. On est loin d iTunes sur Mac dont j ai l habitude.....
1 voteSi tu connais le nom du podcast tu peux utiliser le moteur de recherche, puis tu t’abonnes au podcast afin d’en écouter l’épisode ou de le télécharger.
Tu peux aussi regarder les résultats de recherches dans l’onglet ‘épisodes’ et appuyer sur le bouton lecture ou télécharger de l’épisode de ton choix. -
to put rewind and fast forward buttons
Could you put specification to enable or disable rewind and fast forward buttons on wear / lock screen widget? Thnx..

General Feedback, 3 Questions
Hey Mr. Guillemane,
I stumbled across your app, while I was searching for a replacement for my iPod, I had used for a couple of years now. The ongoing course of Apple made it impossible for me to keep using the iPod as a music/podcast device, since a lot of mistakes were made in their past and Apple offers functions, that clearly don't work.
So I got a new phone, nice new Samsung and organised my music through Spotify. I tried 3 other apps for podcasts, before I came across your app.

Regarding your questions, the Donate app is an unlocker, so you can install it, but you keep using the free app which will then be ad free. Because of that you will keep all your data.

Give a stop button to livestreams
Right now, there's only a pause button showing up. Pressing this, PA keeps streaming data (this even when one just pulls out the headset), which gives indeed the nice option to resume the stream. But the only way to really turn it off and stop streaming is a) killing PA or b) playing an episode, then stopping that.
That can't be on purpose, can it?3 votesYou can stop live streams like any other podcast. You can either press on the notification ‘x’ button or long press on the player play/pause button

Recycle bin
I generally want episodes automatically deleted after listening, but sometimes I want to go back and listen to the last part if I missed it. But I now have to te-download it. Or deal with manual deletion of each podcast. A 30 day recycle bin would be great!
3 votesYou can already enabled the ‘trash’ in Settings/Automatic cleanup. Every episode automatically deleted will then be stored for the specified time before being deleted

I want a simple way to automatically download the newest episodes of specific podcasts.
I have three podcasts that i listen to every week. I want to check a box that will let me download all new episodes for just these podcasts.
3 votesYou can enable Automatic download for those 3 podcast (Custom settings). Once done the app will download new episodes as soon as they are detected by the app. You will find more information on the Getting started guide (Settings/FAQs)

Enable Podcast Addict to play MP2 audio recordings from my Pure Digital Radio
My Pure Digital Radio records from radio to MP2 files. It would be great to be able to playback these on Podcast Addict but it doesn't seem to recognize the format.
1 votePlayback is handled by the device built-in player, not by the app. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do if your device fails to play this file encoding.

Use extenal SD card
I like your PodCast.
But it must have an option to change the folder storage location to external SD card.
Many downloads do harm the system.
My memory (16GB) was completely filled and I was not neither able to download small mails nor to update any application. I needed weeks to identify this problem. Only the complete deletion of the download folder solved this serious problem.
Now I have seen a simple option like this in Amazons "Audible" app and I suggest to implement the same in yours.3 votesYou can already do that by selecting SD card in Settings/Download/Storage folder

Great app. When in the new podcast list the back arrow should bring you back to the main podcast listing, at the moment it exits the app

1 voteIf you open the app through the ‘new episodes’ notification, then the main opening screen is ‘New episodes’. Pressing the back button will then exit the app
