  1. problem of podcast auto stop

    I'm using the app for many years. Recently the app started to auto stop with no reason.
    Just push play to restart but i don't understand why the app is stopping

    Regarding the issue, the app will only pause if it receives a pause command (remote or local), in case of a network issue if streaming.
    If the player notification disappears it means that the app has been killed. Make sure to disable every battery saver settings and apps (Greenify ?) To prevent this.
    Please let me know more detail like the device, android version, app version if you’re streaming or downloading, …

  3. Log in feature

    Could you consider creating something like an account? Perhaps a voluntary one so you don't lose any downloads. I'm thinking one that could work despite having donated money or not. My main interest in having an account would be so it could automatically sync. I mainly listen to my podcasts on my smartphone, but also on my tablet. If I had an account that worked in that way I wouldn't have to scroll to mark episodes as "read" or subscribe again to synchronize it with my phone.

  4. Since last week my phone slows horribly down when a podcast begins.

    When I start or finish listening to a podcast the app slows my entire phone to a crawl for the first 10-20 seconds of play. The audio also suffers from this low down breaking during that time.

    Yesterday when listening to a playlist of several short podcasts (1-5min) my phone stoped responding and I had to force restart it.

    Even after that slow start my phone is lower than usual while playing podcasts trought the app.

    I've been running the app for the last year and an half without any issues and I haven't installed any new app. I've killed…

    Regarding the issue, nothing related to playback has been modified for quite some time. Please send me a backup of the app data so I can do some tests. To do so, go into Settings/Backup, do a full backup, then use the Share button to send me the file via email.

  6. Add a way searching by audio or video podcasts, or the ability to order search results by audio or video.

    I often find that majority of my search results are audio, which I expect, but every now and then I attempt to find a new video podcast and I often fail simply because I cannot filter my searches or simply search for video only. Thanks in advance, love the app, from experience with many others I find PA the best.

    You can search by video only. Make sure to disable the ‘iTunes checkbox’ in the search engine in order to get more settings. You will then be able to filter by type and/or language. Unfortunately iTunes APIs don’t allow this yet

    Tu peux t’abonner aux chaines et Playlist YouTube.
    Par contre YouTube est une plateforme de streaming. Google n’autorise pas le téléchargement.
    Impossible d’implémenter cette fonction sans que l’app se fasse banir…

  8. make adding to playlist easier to find.

    I thought at one time (after experimenting with other podcast player apps and then discovering Podcast Addict that I could easily press on an episode and select 'add to Playlist'. But now when I attempt to find that function.... I cannot lately seem to find it. Am I remembering correctly that this particular feature was part of Podcast Addict?

    By default the app now uses a new ‘Continuous playback’ mode in which the app handles the playlist automatically.
    If you want to handle it manually you need to go into Settings/Playlist/Playlist mode and select ‘Global playlist’

  9. Keep audio running when device is locked/closed

    I couldn't find the settings to keep the audio of video-based podcasts running when locking/closing the device.

    As I frequently listen, but not watch, video podcasts, this would be a helpful feature.

  10. AutoPlay when the playlist is empty

    Addict Podcast I use to broadcast independently podcasts.

    The playlist is filled with the content of podcasts as and when automatically updates.

    I would not need to come on my Android to press the Play button to begin playback of the playlist when it is empty.

    I miss a latest downloads option. now I have to scroll through my whole list of downloads to find my last downloaded episodes. Thanks for the great app by the way!

    Sliding for ages for a bottom/middle one when a podcast has close to a thousand episodes can get old.

  13. Listened to episode isn't displayed anymore

    After I finish listening to an episode it is no longer displayed. I'd like the option for it to still be available to listen to again.

  14. "Cancel refresh" does not work

    I was trying to cancel a running refresh of my podcasts and it did not respond. Hat to force stop the application to get it out of this state.

    Cancelling an update can take up to 30s depending on the podcast server status. If Android killed the update process the notification will remain and you will have to start a new update to make the old one go away

  15. Make a Win8 app

    Oh man. It would be so nice to have this converted into a Win8 app because the podcast options really suck

  16. Play music in the background

    Have the option to have a third party music player (like Spotify of Google Play Music) play in the background while listening to podcasts, at a different volume to the podcast.

  17. Create a "scatter" function so that no two consecutive episodes of same show plays

    Sometimes I download 6 or more episodes of 3 shows and would like to interlace them.

    You can already do that. In the search engine or the Discover podcast screen you can select the language of the podcasts you want to see in the results. There’s no way to browse by country as this information isn’t provided by the podcast RSS feeds

  19. Long press deletion function with widget

    Player has nice feature Long press deletion function. Could you support that with widget as well?
