Add to instructions for backup/restore: Do not rename file
When you backup your data, to switch devices or reset the device, the instructions should specify that changing the file name will not allow the included file browser to find the backup file in order to restore the data.

Hide comments
After enable the option "show coments", the application took much time just to shows the description. Freezes the screen and only after 30 seconds or more, show the description and the play button.
Before enable this option, the app was fast.There is an option to reset without lost the tag for listened or not listened?

Playlist deletion and removal
Hi - I love your app. Is there a way of adding a feature where episodes delete and get removed from the playlist after listening rather than just get deleted?

1 voteEpisodes are automatically removed from the playlist once they have been listened to. If not, make sure to restore the default setting in Settings/Playlist/Automatic dequeue

I would like to be able to use this app in other ways than just Wi-Fi. Is there any way to do this?

Port PA to Ubuntu Phone
I recently changed my android phone for a ubuntu phone (aquaris E5) and I'd love to see my good old PA on that phone.
I think an open source podcast app fits very well to an open source OS.
of course I have no idea how complicated that is but I'd really appreciate it! :-)

In Playlist view, show total time from all items on playlist
Hi there! Love the app so far :) I'd like there to be a way to see total hours/mins in the playlist
For example, if I have three items and the first item is 01:17:04, the second one is 1:23:14, and the last one is 00:18:40, I'd like 02:59:58 shown somewhere? Maybe at the top where it says "Audio (3)" like "Audio (3 / 02:59:58)"?
Not sure if I did my math right, but hopefully that makes sense!

If enabled the sliding menu will show the playlist duration rather than the number of episodes in the playlist -

GoTo Option, Loop in Time, File Name Change
GoTo Option: When player is on, I find it necessary to put an option to go to a specific point in time, by now we have the option to go backward or forward with a personalizable step or just moving the point upon the time line. I am talking about putting a "go to..." option.
Loop in Time: Also it would be useful a "Loop option", not the one present already for looping files, but another more specific that allow a continuous play and repeat of a segment of time in a file.

FYI you can already use the "Play From position" feature available in the player screen to play from a specific time stamp. Upcoming version of the app allows you to repeat chapters / bookmarks. So you can loop a specific part of an episode

Play without connecting to internet for downloaded Podcasts
When playing a podcast, the system will go to the internet before starting to play, even for downloaded episodes. I presume its updating the podcast source with a play count, or checking if there has been an update.
Is it possible to start playing without doing this?
When in a poor network area, it can stop play altogether or make it very slow to respond.3 votesHi,

Regarding the issue, the app will only require an internet connection to play an episode which isn’t downloaded. The app doesn’t need an internet access to play a downloaded file.
Make sure the episode is fully downloaded if you want to avoid this. You can check it by looking in the screen called ‘Downloaded episodes’Xavier

Regarding this issue I’m not sure to understand what the problem is. Can you please describe the problem with more detail (podcast, episode, app version, device, android version, is the episode downloaded, error message, …)

Allow subsequent listening
Why not continnue the playback with the next title within the podcast if the playlist is empty?
This would help in cases adding to playlist does not work (which is the case for me)1 voteWhat do you mean by ‘the playlist doesn’t work’ ?

Regarding this issue nothing related to the play button as been modified.
Which play button are you talking about (on which screen) ? What happen when you press on it ?

input a way to read the full episode description
I listen to the One Piece podcast, and their episodes have long descriptions. In the app I only see this: [...]
It would be nice if the whore description vould be included in the app. Otherwise I really like this app. Keed up the good work!1 voteThe app displays the full content of the RSS feeds you subscribed to. If you only see ‘[…]’ it means that the podcast owner doesn’t share the podcast description in the feed and wants you to go to the podcast website to read the information.
Pressing on the episode artwork in the episode description screen will open the episode website -
Enable sorting in the 'downloaded' view by podcast name then publication date.
I know I can use a filter to see the downloaded episodes of one podcast at a time, but that's slow. I'd love to be able to see at a glance all the downloaded episodes sorted by podcast, then publication date.
3 votesYou can filter the ‘downloaded episodes’ screen by podcast, then you can sort the screen content by publication date, so it should allow you to do what you want.

Make the "mark read on deletion" work properly when unchecked IE: not automatically mark episodes read on deletion
Currently the automatic cleanup option "mark read on deletion" does nothing there is no difference between having the option checked or unchecked. Please make the toggle actually change the behaviour of the app
1 voteThis setting is only for the Automatic cleanup. It means that it allows you to select if an episode should be marked as read or not when automatically deleted by the app. It has no effects on a manual deletion

Add a "Download & add to playlist" button.
At the same time that I'm selection which episodes to download they would also be added to playlist with the same button. That way I wouldn't have to reselect all the episodes (sometimes I download in bulk of 20-30) and figuring out which ones I downloaded can take a while.
1 voteYou can go into Settings/Playlist and enable automatic playlist for downloaded episodes. Then downloading an episode will automatically add it to the playlist

Ability to remove / repeat a download
Sometimes, presumably due to poor or interrupted network access while downloading, an episode is corrupt and cannot be played. It would be great to have an option to repeat the download.
3 votesYou can delete the episode and re-download it if that’s what you mean by repeat a download.
But unless the file uploaded by the podcast owner is corrupted, you shouldn’t have corrupted files on your device -
I suggest you make it possible to change previous/next buttons on lockscreen widget to rewind/forward.
I listen to podcasts when driving, and that way would be better after I lost track because attending a bad traffic situation. What I do now in this situation: turn screen on, unlock phone, pull down the notification bar, rewind. To much hassle.
3 votesBy default those buttons behave like rewind/forward buttons. If not make sure to restore the default settings in Settings/Player/Remote Controls (Skip forward/rewind controls should be enabled)

Filtrage par duree
Pour des émission comme la bande originale de France inter, je voudrai pouvoir ne télécharger que l épisode principal. Il faudra it pour cela rajouter un filtre sur la durée pour ignorer les extraits car l émission principale n a pas de titre fixe et il y'a un dizaine d extraits
1 voteCe n’est malheureusement pas possible car la seule façon de connaitre la durée d’un épisode est de commencer sa lecture.
La plupart des podcasteurs oublient de renseigner le champ durée dans les flux RSS et lorsqu’ils le font, la durée fournie est généralement erronée…
