allow podcast sorting by size (storage space used)
In the podcast list, it'd be helpful to be able to sort the list by total storage space currently used by downloaded episodes. The option to sort by downloaded episode count isn't really helpful....a podcast with short episodes that had dozens of downloaded episodes could be easily dwarfed by a single episode for a podcast that had 2+ hour episodes. Being able to sort the podcast list this way would allow better visualization of storage space used by various subscribed podcasts and the ability to manage that space in an educated manner.

Allow option of deleting/marking played episodes of under XXX minutes

Remove played / starred episode from playlist.
When I clear the playlist and afterwards enque downloaded episodes (to restore the default) my favourite (starred) podcast episodes get added to the playlist as well, since I've got "Keep favorite episodes" on.
So similarly to "Remove non downloaded episodes" I'd like to have a "Remove played episodes" or an "Remove favourite episodes" button in the playlist menu.

Breadcrumbs
Player set to shuffle. Listening to a podcast, about 5 minutes in to an hour long episode. Accidentally hit the button to take me to the next podcast. Could be any one of hundreds. There is no way to go back to the track I was just listening to, that I can see. I should be able to press the button pointing backward at 6 o'clock in the player, but that button has been delegated to a feature that I will never, ever, use. Allow users to fast-forward or reduce show speed by .05 seconds (not just .1 seconds)

set limits on how often a podcast is downloaded.
we already have limits on how many are downloaded at once,
I would like to add limit how many can be automatically download for one podcast for a time period( rolling or not). you can use the history to find out if limit has been hit.like only download 3 episodes per day
or only download 2 per week
10 per month so on.This would allow me to set podcasts that I have a backlog in to high priority without it taking over my feed list so that it only plays that.

Sleep Timer: Audio fade-out for end of chapter
The sleep timer audio fade-out is a great feature. When the sleep timer option "stop at the end of current chapter" is set, the audio stops abrupt. It would be great if the the fade-out works with this option, too.

Add 'Mark played' to Audio/Video playlist popup
On the custom playlist the popup menu has 'Select/Mark played'... But the Audio and Video playlists have 'Select/Remove from playlist' instead.
I find the Mark played option really useful on the custom list and miss having it on Audio/Video playlists for convenience.

Add more button options to the player's extra controls options, including "other episodes" and tidy up menu options
Under:
Settings (player) > Controls > Show extra player controlsPlease add an option for an "other episodes" button.
"Privacy information" and "custom settings (podcast feed)" should also be added to this so that people have the option for a cleaner description page with more space, if you could choose to remove those buttons.
I think that the buttons at the very top ("favorite (episode)", "sleep timer", and "playback speed adjustment") would be better in the player's extra control section.

Alarms should still play even when "pause when muted" is turned on
The alarm function is let down by a simple flaw:
When the app behavior is set to "pause playback when volume is muted", alarms follow this rule and they will not commence playback if your phone is muted.
This means that the alarm doesn't work reliably as an alarm, unfortunately.

download sorting "catch up"
Up to now I can select that the next episode to download can be either the newest one or oldest one.
I suggest to introduce a "catch up" mode.
Therefore I would introduce an Abo date. this is the date when I started the Abo.
I would suggest such a function.
next epidode to download (abodate)
if there is at least one episode newer than Abodate
then take the newest episode
else
take the oldest episode
endWith such a function I would chronologically catch up with the older episodes but also hear new episodes close to the release date.

Force download for episodes in the playlist
I would like to have my automatic downloads happen only on Wi-Fi unless a podcast is added to the playlist, then I would like it to use any network to download.

modulate playback speed for different bluetooth devices
when I play podcasts in my Bluetooth headphones I can hear and process faster speeds than I can on my car speakers. makes it very difficult to transition between devices when the speed is too slow or too fast.
would be great if there was a way to tell the player to slow down the speed when connected to specific devices just like it can slow down when it is using phone speakers.3 votes -
Add an option to remove the progress bar from the lock screen player notification.
When running or walking I often nudge forward or backwards the progress and it's difficult to find my place again.

Chromecast — Chapter images
It would be great if there was an option to customize the image shown on screen when streaming a podcast to Chromecast. Especially for podcasts that have chapter images (e.g. Stay Forever) it often would make more sense to show the chapter images instead of the podcast's title image.

allow ability to manually add episodes of podcasts into a seperate saveable playlist.
I saw similar requests that were posted, but I'm not sure if this specific idea has been addressed. Sometimes I want to listen to stuff with my girlfriend but I have no way of collecting, separating and saving these episodes. Does anyone have a solution for this?
(If the developer sees this, I am sincerely grateful for all of the work you have done on making such a fantastic app.)

Have a way to "lock" the playing of two or more episodes so that their playback order is fixed regardless of how the playlist is configured.
Moving specific episodes around so they play in chronological order is reset if there are new episodes added to the playlist. I have my playlist set up so that episodes are added automatically. It would be nice to group a series in a certain order so it doesn't need to be corrected.
