  1. Erweiterung Timer im Player

    Möglichkeit der Eingabe im Timer-Menü, dass z.B. drei "EInträge" der Playlist ab aktueller Position abgespielt werden.

    Am Rande: Warum läuft der Timer weiter (zählt runter), wenn das Abspielen eines Eintrags pausiert wird?

  2. Tweak to Automatic Playlist for Streaming Episodes

    I am using the option to add only downloaded episodes to the automatic playlist, and the automatic cleanup option to restrict the playlist to the last episode(s) of each podcast. This works great! However, this does not work for podcasts that I want to set up for streaming-only. The episodes keep adding, and adding... terrible for hourly news podcasts! I'd like an option to restrict the number of episodes that appear in the automatic playlist per podcast, downloaded or not. Just remove the oldest from the playlist beyond this limit when new ones come in.

    You can go into the playlist custom tab, select the category of your choice and then use the filter button to customize the list content. For example, you can use the filter by publication date to only show episodes published in the last 24 hours. Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

  3. Allow not to automatically download trailers and/or bonus episodes

    Many podcasts issue a lot of trailers and bonus episodes, which are not related to the podcast. If automatic download is enabled, trailers take up space and clutter up the timeline.
    It would be useful to allow the app to ignore episodes marked as 'trailer' when downloading or refreshing.

  5. enqueue unplayed

    I can't use the playlist anymore because the only way to add items to it in bulk is to enqueue downloaded episodes but that queues hundreds of episodes that I've played and deleted just because they were at one point downloaded.
    Allow me to enqueue episodes I've played (ideally whether they're downloaded or not).

    You can add to the playlist any episode you want to. You can use the select mode to select multiple episodes and then select the Add to playlist action. Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

  6. Allow the app to function as an alarm.

    So the app can already automatically downloads podcasts for me. I'd like a feature where one of my automatically downloaded daily podcasts could serve as my alarm in the morning.

    Sorry but this will never get implemented. Podcasts are monetizing their content with ads. Without them a lot of podcasts would not exist. If you don’;t want ads and don’t want to manually skip them, then the only solution would be to not listen to ad supported podcasts

  8. Volume normalisation

    It would be great to have a volume normalisation option. In a great part of the podcasts the speaker speaks extremely quietly, then goes on to pretty much shout, and so on, and that hurts my ears really bad, so a volume normalisation option would make it much easier to listen to these people.

  9. Return button in App

    Hey! I use the player like 3 or 4 Months now - and I love it!

    But: It's possible for Android phones to customiz the return button in the app so, that the app keep on? If I use the button the app closed completely!

    Pressibg on the back button returns to the previous screen, until you reach the app opening screen. From that screen pressing on the back button will leave the app UI. If you open the app from the player notification or widget, then the opening screen is the player screen, so pressing on the back button from that screen will leave the UI

  10. Where did episode descriptions go?

    "Post a review" had replaced the episode description. This is ruining an app I've used for years. If I can't see the episode description, I'll find a better app.

  12. Independent episode sorting per podcast

    Currently when I choose a sorting option for one podcast, it applies that same option to all other podcasts.

    It would be great if these options were independent from one podcast to the other. For news podcasts, it's best to have the latest at the top. But then I switch to a history one where episodes are sequential, so older episodes would be best on top. Would be great to set the choice for each one, to avoid changing each time... Or doing a while lot of scrolling to find where you were. Thanks!

  13. Filter by episode laenth and apply filter to download

    A lot of podcast upload short clips like trailers and updates,. I'd love to be able to filter by length so I can easily find actual episodes. Also would be great if you can apply the same filter to auto download settings for you can set up "only auto download episodes longer than 5 minutes" or the other way around.

    The app already supports transcripts when they are provided by the podcast authors. In that case depending on the format you can either open the transcript file or have real time subtitles displayed on the player screen. Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

  15. Options for chapter titles to be the text after the timestamp

    When displaying chapters, the text displayed is the text before the timestamp. What I would like is the option to switch this to the text after the timestamp.

    Ex: Sentence 1(1:00) sentence 2
    Currently it displays "sentence 1" for the 1:00 chapter and I would like the option to display "sentence 2" instead

  16. The search function needs cleaning

    Many podcasts I have searched for does not show up in the sesults, even though I typed in the exact name, and it has 15000+ subscribers. When searching for "the teacher's pet" just now, 50 podcasts were shown as results, none of them were the actual "the preachers pet", loads of them did not slightly resembled that name. Sorting by relevance seems to push the podcast I'm looking for even further down the list (when it is on the list at all). You should have a function to search for the exact podcast name, and the relevance sorting should sort…

    This podcast is the 1st ersult when searching for the exact name “The teacher’s pet” or “the teacher pet” and the 2nd result when searching for “teacher pet”

  17. Enable sort by Podcast Sort order

    I would love a way to sort my playlist by the same order that the podcasts are sorted on that screen (i.e. sort by the podcast's number of unplayed episodes, or by publication date of the most/least recent episode in that podcast). I'm not even sure if this is possible, but sometimes I want to listen to all of the podcasts that only have 1 or 2 episodes left, or listen to one episode of something with 200+ in the same frequency as new ones come out.

  18. Marquer un épisode "lu" ou "non lu" depuis la Playlist

    Bonjour,

    Pour moi qui écoute des podcasts issus de radios, il m'arrive régulièrement après avoir constitué ma playlist de constater que j'ai déjà entendu un épisode (soit directement à la radio, soit parce qu'il constitue un extrait d'un épisode plus long que j'ai déjà écouté).

    C'est pourquoi, je trouve qu'il serait plus simple de pouvoir marquer ces épisodes comme étant lus ou non lus directement depuis la Playlist. Actuellement, je dois retrouver ces épisodes à la rubrique "Podcasts" pour pouvoir le faire, ce qui n'est pas très pratique.

    Tu peux appuyer sur l’image de l’episode a partir de la playlist pour ouvrir sa description. Tu peux ainsi marquer l’episode comme etant lu et le retirer de la plylist depuis cet ecran. Tu peux auddi laisser appuyer sur le bouton ‘episode suivant’ du player pour supprimer l’episode comme si tu l’avais entierement ecoute.

    Est-ce qu'il serait possible avec Android d'avoir l'avance et retour rapide sur le lock screen ? Pour l'instant j'ai épisode suivant/précédant et pause uniquement

  20. Cover art on car radio via bluetooth

    It not clear if this is a missing feature or something that is not working correct on my configuration.
    Podcast addict has everything I need from a podcast app except two things... when I use my car radio via bluetooth, the cover art is not shown. However, with spotify the cover art is shown on my car radio. I use Podcast addict on a Samsung A6 in combination with a Mercedes E220.
    I'm also missing the possibility to go back and forward 30 seconds using the buttons on my steering wheel. (this is also not possible in android auto)

    Sorry but this isn’t supported by the BT media notification protocol. BT receiver only support text metadata. Some receivers have a local database of music cover art they can show when the metadata matches the album name. That’s why it can work when you listen to popular music

    Podcast addict reacts to every command it receives. Please send me an email so I can gather more information and help you (Settings/Feedback)
