  1. OneDrive & network shares for virtual podcasts.

    Enable OneDrive & Windows shared folders to be used as folder content for virtual podcasts. I record multiple internet radio shows on my pc with ffmeg daily and then sync them to my android smartphone. This would remove the sync step for me.

  2. notification bar

    Before I switched to the new phone, s8+ Android, I could tell if the podcast was playing, updating, stopped, etc without having to listen to the audio. Now, I cannot tell if the podcast is playing, updating, or anything. Where did the icons that used to show up on the notification bar go or how can I add them back?

    Nothing has changed here. It looks like the app notifications have been blocked from the device. Please check in the device Settings/Notifications/Applications/Podcats Addict screen. Feel free to send me an email if you have any question

  3. Add "back 15 seconds" button in mini-menu

    Add "back 15 seconds" button in mini-menu when phone is blocked.
    I see a "forward 15 seconds" button (who uses this?), but no "back 15 button", which is a lot more important.
    All media players have this button...

    90% of the users who skip during playback use skip ahead ;)
    This is mostly used to skip ads, intros or uninterresting part.
    Skip backward is not used a lot.
    But you can customize the player notifications in Settings/Notifications/Player if you want to add this button

  4. Add an option to turn on or off the fade out feature will using the sleep timer.

    Allow an option to turn on or off the fade out feature in the sleep timer. I don't like that I miss 15 seconds of something interesting by the volume being to low. If I want to hear more I'll pick the phone up and shake to reset.

  5. App Shortcut "Resume Playback"

    There are already some shortcuts like "Search Engine" etc. but the app shortcut I am really missing would be "Resume Playback". My Music app has it and it saves me a lot of headache.

  6. Vibrate earlier when sleep timer is about to expire

    When the phone vibrates because the sleep timer is about to expire, the volume immediately goes down, making me miss several seconds of the episode. After vibration there should be maybe 15 seconds or so before the volume starts to fade. That would give the user time to reach for the phone and shake it.

  7. Have the capability to sort podcasts by personal preference on the 'main screen'

    On the page with all my podcast shown on tiles, I would like to customize the order they show up. Rather than choosing to sort by, number of played/unplayed, old - new etc.

  8. create a Shortcut or Activity for toggling on/off speed control

    would be great to have an Android Activity or a shortcut (or even a widget) to instantly toggle between fast and regular speed from home screen or elsewhere.

    this would be helpful for speeding up the talking portions of a music podcast without skipping them altogether.

  9. Have a "Download entire podcast backlog" feature

    When I go on road trips I like to download entire podcast backlog and listen from start to finish. To do this I've perfected the sequence of options I have to toggle in order to do this in a tidy fashion. It would be nice to have this as a simple action.

  10. Allow access to episode's information window from the playlist screen

    Within the playlist screen, it seems to be impossible to view an episode's description and other relevant information.

    Generally, when I build my playlist, I'm viewing episode descriptions to decide which episodes I should download and which ones I should skip. By the time I get to these episodes in my playlist, I can often forget what a particular episode is about.

    Currently, I have to navigate away from the playlist screen to the podcasts screen, clock the relevant podcast and also remember and select the appropriate episode. This seems like something that should be easily added to the contextual…

  11. Sort when search for new podcast

    When I search for new podcast, for example in technology, I want to sort by 'number of subscribers', or ' number of episodes', or 'last fresh new episode'.

  12. Add [Unread+Non-downloaded ] list

    I'm having a hard time choosing which shows to download. In any view, there's no way to show [Unread+Non-downloaded ] list to choose from. I'd really appreciate if you can add it to any view. Thanks!

    You can open any podcast screen and use the filter called ‘NOT downloaded’ to see those episodes.
    BTW you can hide played episodes by pressing on the toolbar ‘eye’ button

  13. Deleting an episode resets its progress.

    Presently, deleting an episode dequeues it and marks it as read, both of which make complete sense. However, its progress is not reset, leaving the progress indicator which must be reset manually. This should be reset automatically.

    At a minimum, there should be an option for this.

    Deleting the episode keeps the playback progress. There’s one way to delete the current played episode while reseting the progress AND skipping to the next episode. To do so long press on the player ‘Next episode’ button.

  14. organize browsing by region, country, and/or language.

    Allow people to browse new podcasts by language is a great feature for people trying to learn a new language.

    You can already do that. In the search engine or the Discover podcast screen you can select the language of the podcasts you want to see in the results. There’s no way to browse by country as this information isn’t provided by the podcast RSS feeds

  15. Add New Sort to Help with Audiobook MP3 Files

    I have a large group of MP3 files in a folder that are a CD audiobook I bought. Could you add a new sort to sort on the MP3 Track tag ? Right now I have to sort by the name and hope they get in the right order for smooth playback. Thanks - Love PA

  17. [bug report] libsyn podcasts conflict

    How to reproduce:

    1. On Android (currently using M, but I have this experience with L and K), Install PA from the Play store (I am using the paid version).

    2. Add a feed: search for the "Revolutions" podcast and add it (you should get this one: http://www.revolutionspodcast.com/). And let it get the list of episodes and art work.

    3. Add a feed: search for the "Science sort of..." podcast (you should get this one: http://sciencesortof.com/), And let it get the list of episodes and artwork.

    4. Observe that you have now 2 feeds with the episodes and artwork of "Revolutions"

    Please don’t use this page to report a bug as it’s dedicated to new feature request. In case of a bug/question send me an email so I can help (Settings/Feedback)

    What you describe isn’t a bug of the app as the app doesn’t host any content. It just display the content returned by your provider when you connect to the podcast RSS feed.
    My guess or router is having a DNS cache bug. If so, make sure to reboot the device and/or your router. This should fix the issue.

  18. Option to skip arbitrary intervals

    Hi, I'd like an option to skip arbitrary intervals in an episode (configurable per podcast).
    I.e., if there's a fixed block (advertisement or whatever) from 20 to 40 sec in each episode, I'd like to skip it without missing the first 20 seconds.

    Instead of sorting by name or date, it would be incredibly convenient to be able to manually sort podcasts/feeds in whatever order we'd like.
