1 voteI’m sorry but Podcast Addict isn’t a podcast creation app. Please try searhcing for tutirials on Google to get information about podcast creation.

Option to start PA in playlist
When podcast addict opens it is in the list of podcasts and I immediately go to my playlist. Would like that to be a default option.
1 voteYou can do this by replacing the app launcher icon with a widget called Podcast addict – Shortcut which allows you to select the opening screen

skip episode if marked as read
Congrats for your app. Is great! Only one question.
Is there an option to simply ignore episodes marked as read by default in all podcasts?
If you have mixed read and unread episodes on a podcast, I would like to configure my device to skip always read episodes. At the moment it reproduces next, ignoring if it has read or not. Also download again read episodes to reproduce them.
Thanks.
1 voteIf you’re using the Continuous playback mode you can go into Settings/Playlist and enable ‘Skip read episodes’. In that case next time the app creates a new playback queue for you it won’t contain any episode marked as read. Feel free to contact me in case you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

Playing podcasts automaticly not only via dedicated playlist
Episoden should be played continuously one after another within a folder(from one provider). Even better to enable playing in sequencial and reverse order. There are podcasts from german provider, e.g. SWR2 http://www.swr.de/blog/1000Antworten/
Always consisting of several very small podcasts.1 voteThis is the purpose of the Continuous playback mode. You can get more details in the FAQs (Settings/FAQs)

Detect airplane/flight mode
Detect whether flight mode is active, and if so, don't attempt downloads.
(Currently, while offline, when I finish one podcast, I see a notification that the app is trying to download another, which continues for about a minute before quitting. It should give up immediately.)
1 voteThe app will keep displaying the download notification until there’s no content in the downlaod manager. The app will automatically pause downloads when you switch to airplane mode. Then you can still add download to the queue, but nothing will happen until the connection is restored

accept invalid SSL cert
Many podcasts I've subscribed to no longer have valid SSL certificates.
This means i, as a user, is no longer able to get content anymore.
I, as a tech bod, really don't think it's required (for a podcast) to ensure a certificate is in date, or even from a trusted CA.
Can we have a accept invalid SSL cert option?
Cheers1 voteI’m sorry but this isn’t possible.
Google would automatically ban the app for this.
The podcast owner should use standard http instead or using https with an invalid certificate.
Out of curiosity, are you onan Android 7.0 device? If so Android has a bug which only accepts one specific kind of ‘certificates’. They fixed this in Android 7.1.1.
Please let me know via email (Settings/Feedback)

YouTube content is played by the YT app, so you can cast it from the YT app

Roll back a few seconds when playback is interrupted.
When a notification interrupts playback, playback resumes from a <user determined> amount of seconds previously.
I have SmartAudioBook player and it has this great feature. I have it set for 2 seconds.
1 voteYou can enable automatic rewind in Settings/Player/Behavior to do so.

Issue with seek and Progress saving
I have been a long term user of Podcast Addict and have recently after an Android 7.0 update to my phone [Lenovo P2] the player has started acting weirdly for downloaded episodes. The seek has stopped working and episode progress is saved at random points if I start and resume a podcast after a while. This does not happen with streamed episodes. I have tried reinstalling the app and also Re downloading the episodes both have not helped. I really like the app and want to continue using it but right now it is impossible to use with this bug.

Playback is amanaged by the device built-in player, not by the app.
This issue isn’t related to the app, but to the device mediaplyer which has been updated during the Android 7 upgrade. It looks like the manufacturer introduced a bug. Unfortunately only a ROM update might be able to fix this.
In case the SD card has been corrupted during the upgrade you can try to analyze/repair it, but my guess is that it’s more ‘ROM bug related’

Allow users to sort podcast by latest, non-downloaded episode
I like to sort podcasts by latest episode when I'm choosing what to download. But I'd prefer if that podcast goes to bottom of list if I download that latest episode
1 voteYou can filter any podcast episodes to show non downloaded episodes, then if episodes are sorted by publication date new to old you’ll be able to get what you want.

Provide ability to show elapsed time in real seconds or compressed time
recently the time elapsed option was changed to shorten if you are listening to a podcast sped up. I preferred showing the real, non-compressed runtime as it is easier to skip to the correct time index if provided by the podcast description.
1 voteWhen using the progress bar to select an playback position the app shows you the ‘real position’ so you can easily select a specific playback position

I’m sorry but I will not add a delete button in the player screen.
A lot of users are streaming and you can already delete content from this screen. You can eiter long rpess as you said, but you can also swipe right and delete from the queue or press on the artwork to open the episode description and delete from there -
Promoting our Podcast
I've notice PA is 5% of our tuned in listeners. Is there away to market our podcast to your users?

Better player control
I find it impossible to move ahead in a podcast that's playing by a small amount. For example the minimum I can move ahead in a 2 hour podcast by tapping the progress bar on my phone's screen is about 10 minutes. How about this solution: Tapping and holding the progress bar lets you slide left and right at a slow speed to enable fine grained control.
1 voteYou can already tap and hold on the progress bar in order to move the playback position of your choice. You can also use the << / >> buttons to skip -15s/+30s
Long pressing on them works as well -
show the downloaded files list as start page
It is to complicated to get to the downloaded files, especially if you quickly left the app. It would be nice if you could either chose the downloaded files list as start page or at least to let the program save the view that you had last when reopening the app.
1 voteYou can do so by replacing the app launcher icon by a 1×1 widget called Podcats Addict – shortcut which allows you to select the starting screen

Allow app to use SD card for podcast storage if present
When I began getting low memory errors on my new phone, I looked it up and discovered I could add up to a 1tb SD card to my phone. I bought one and then found out about Android's love/hate relationship with SD card memory.
Under the present release, accessing SD cards is up to the individual app. I'm only able to move about 5 apps to the card. That still leaves me with almost 500mb. It would be spectacular if the podcast archive could run from there. 14 podcasts is too much for this phone.
1 voteYou can already store your downlaoded files on the SD card. To do so go into the app Settings/Download screen, Press on Storage folder and select SD card

Sorting podcast
Is there a way to keep different podcasts sorted differently? For instance I have several audiobooKS that are sorted a-z in order to play in the correct order, and most other podcast sorted by publicaton date. But when I change one podcast it seems to affect them all
1 voteYou can go into the app Settings/Display screen to enable Custom sorting
