The search function needs cleaning
Many podcasts I have searched for does not show up in the sesults, even though I typed in the exact name, and it has 15000+ subscribers. When searching for "the teacher's pet" just now, 50 podcasts were shown as results, none of them were the actual "the preachers pet", loads of them did not slightly resembled that name. Sorting by relevance seems to push the podcast I'm looking for even further down the list (when it is on the list at all). You should have a function to search for the exact podcast name, and the relevance sorting should sort…

User Data Very Large
Podcast episodes I download are stored on SD-card, the app itself is not, ok. But when I look at how much space the app takes up in internal memory, the app itself is very small, but it has 1,5 GB of user data. So Android says it takes up a little more than 1,5 GB of internal memory. That's strange. And the number does not change depending on how many episodes I have downloaded.
3 votesThe app doesn’t use any storage space.
Once you select the SD card to tore the files, all the files are moved from the internal memory to the SD card.
The app doesn’t use any more internal storage space, however if you check the app storage usage in Android it will still show the same usage space as it shows the total space used by the app in both its internal storage and SD card folders.
You can check that the app doens;’t use any storage space on the internal memory by using a file explorer app

Enable sort by Podcast Sort order
I would love a way to sort my playlist by the same order that the podcasts are sorted on that screen (i.e. sort by the podcast's number of unplayed episodes, or by publication date of the most/least recent episode in that podcast). I'm not even sure if this is possible, but sometimes I want to listen to all of the podcasts that only have 1 or 2 episodes left, or listen to one episode of something with 200+ in the same frequency as new ones come out.

Cover art on car radio via bluetooth
It not clear if this is a missing feature or something that is not working correct on my configuration.
Podcast addict has everything I need from a podcast app except two things... when I use my car radio via bluetooth, the cover art is not shown. However, with spotify the cover art is shown on my car radio. I use Podcast addict on a Samsung A6 in combination with a Mercedes E220.
I'm also missing the possibility to go back and forward 30 seconds using the buttons on my steering wheel. (this is also not possible in android auto)1 voteSorry but this isn’t supported by the BT media notification protocol. BT receiver only support text metadata. Some receivers have a local database of music cover art they can show when the metadata matches the album name. That’s why it can work when you listen to popular music

Currently the app cannot fetch artwork from podcasts posted to patreon feeds

If you don’t see custom artwork it means that there’s none provided in this feed.

Bit-perfect mode in PA?
Hello, is it possible at some point to implement bit-perfect mode for PA, similar to audio players like UAAP, or Neutron? As you know, main reason behind this is to improve audio quality by avoiding upsampling by native Android driver to 48KHz. It's very useful when using external hi-fi dac connected through usb port.

Sort based on feed
I listen to some podcasts by keeping up with the most recent, some by listening old to new. But when I sort one podcast old to new, it makes the sort of all the others show up the same. I would love to have it so that each podcast remembers the sort style from the last time I listened.

Recent wpisode button
Put the recent episodes button on the first screen because i use it every time after i open the app. Its difficult 2 access the function now

Better handling of episode ending (ExoPlayer).
Troubleshoot if this problem is implementation or dependency.
May be ExoPlayer problem: Does not play episode till the end.
With and without changing play speed, audio stops playing (some milliseconds) before the actual podcast episode ends.
In some podcasts they have unique show endings and this cuts last word out.
In my mind this is not a problem that podcast MAKERS should sidestep, but player should play everything in stream.
I have not yet tried to find out if this is mp3-coding type (vbr vs cbr) related, but it's somewhat annoying.
I found out just now, that changing player engine…
2 votesPlayback is handled by the selected player engine.
There’s nothing I can do if the player engine somehow misses the end of the file. The app has just a passive role here and will only mark the episode as played and skip to the next one when notified by the player engine that playback is completed -
Lock screen options
please add more options and functionality to lock screen. For example the option, that function buttons cover half or all of lock screen instead of only a small part at the top.

1 voteIt looks like you’re using the device’s built-in media player lock screen widget. Please disable it from the device Settings, then instead you will see the app player notification to control the playback from the lock screen

Any app using Android native player notification UI will now show the new Android 11 UI.
Just make sure you didn’t enable the custom notification layout in the app Settings/Notification/Player screenThanks

You can use the select mode to select multiple episodes and then apply the action of your choice.
If you’re in the “Playback in progress” screen then you can use the ‘Reset progress’ action -
allow videos to play in the background..
To allow the audio of the video to continue while outside of the app the same as an audio only podcast.

Please go into Settings/Display/Podcasts and enable custom sorting. After that every podcast can have its own sorting mode

Add a way to clear backlog from New Episodes lists
After I add a new podcast, or they do something that refreshes their feed so all episodes show up as new again, the full backlog of episodes from that podcast shows up on the New Episodes list every time I sync. I currently have 800 episodes from two podcasts that refreshed their feeds.
I couldn't find a way to clear those from New Episodes without swiping through every single one. I don't want to mark them all played because they aren't played. Now every time I sync, they show up again.
3 votesYou can swipe the New episodes notification away or once the New episodes screen is opened press on the back button to reset it

Not a suggestion, request for help
I've tried to get the contents of a folder on my internal storage to populate the play list (I'm assuming this is the best/only method of listening to my local storage content with Podcast Addict. I used "+" (Add) and selected "Import", navigated to my folder of content and Here I'm Stuck! The ONLY clickable item is "CANCEL". How am I supposed to Import my local podcast content into Podcast Addict's Play List???

Add fast forward / skip 30 seconds as option in the android auto interface.

Change update sort order
Currently, the update of all podcasts goes in alphabetical order. But I would like the option to sort that by priority or recently updated as I do in the playlist, so that the stuff I want to hear first gets downloaded first, and the long-finished podcasts get to the rear of the update queue
3 votesPodcasts are updated based on the app main sc6 sorting mode. If you change the sorting so episodes are sorted by priority then they will also update following that same order
