Add a play next button
I think it'd be very user friendly to have a play next button, so that when the episode you're listening to its finished, it automatically goes to that specific episode.
I get that I could create a playlist, however, I normally don't really know what I want to listen to next when I start a podcast, but while listening I'm often sparked by something and want to click on a specific episode to listen to next. It'd work like the play next button when watching YouTube on chromecast.
3 votesPlease take a look at the FAQs for more information about the playlist/Continuous playback mode (Settings/FAQs)
Every episode has a ‘add to playlist’ button. This means that this episode will play after the current one ends when playing from the audio playlist -
Podcast header with accent background
hello, it would be nice if you could change the background of the podcast header. At the moment it's black, any color or an accent from the cover picture would be nice
1 votePlease send me an email so I can gather more information about the issue and then help you.
The app shows a blurred version of the podcast artwork in the header so I don’t understand the issue you’re experiencingThanks

Shuffle played/unplayed episodes
For some podcasts, it doesn't matter what order you listen to them in, but it's fun to turn it on and be surprised. Other times, it's fun to relisten to podcast episodes in no particular order.
1 voteYou can add the shuffle mode control in Settings/player then you can toggle this behavior from the player screen any time you want to

I suggest you to add an automatic delete of the miniature, because they are super heavy for an old phone
You could add an automatic deleting of the pictures/miniatures of the podcast when you exit or enter in the app, because they use too much space in the phone!!
Thanks
1 voteUnused artwork files are already deleted automatically as soon as they are not needed anymore. If you want to limit the number of artwork files you can disable episodes custom artwork files in settings/automatic cleanup

Ability to sort virtual folder by files date and time
The current sort by publication date does not work for virtual folders making it difficult to add to at list in chronological order based on the files date and time stamp.
Would be useful to either add this option (by file date stamp) or alter the behaviour of sort by publication date to use files date stamp in virtual folders.
Thanks. Great app 👍1 voteVirtual podcasts have an extra sorting mode compared to other podcasts which allows you to sort the episodes based on the file date. Feel free to send me an email if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

Widget for the "normal" podcast startpage when you have the premium feature
In the ordinary app you have the podcast page as startpage. There are widget-options for having for example Radio as start page.
In the premium feature you can change the default startpage. However, there is no option in the widgetsection to choose podcast page as startpage.1 votePlease select “Default” as the opening screen when setting up the widget to do this

Old sort problem with ones, tens, and hundreds.
Old sort problem; something is labelled ep 1 or episode 1 (ones), the single digits gets sorted with the tens and hundreds out of order. Sorting by published date doesn't always work when uploaded out of order in the case of radio plays and audiobooks.
1 votePlease send me an email so I can gather more information and maybe a couple of sample files in order to understand why this isn't working as it should (Settings/Feedback)
Thanks

Use the revolutionary Open Podcast index https://podcastindex.org/
Live and functional now
Created and curated by the podfather himself Adam Curry with Dave Jones
You probably already know about it.
1 votePodcast Addict has been using its own podcast repository for the past 9 years. Sorry but this will not change

Allow skip ahead to be other options than 30sec. .
I'd like to be able to choose 10 or 15 sec skips when I double pressed the action button on my headphones. 30 sec is too much.
1 voteYou can go into Settings/Player to customize this
EDIT: Thanks for the 1 star rating when all I did was trying to help you by letting you know where to find the settings you were asking for. At least send me an email if you have a question instead of rating the app as a malware / apps not working at all, especially when I just answered your request…

remember how each podcast sorts
Long time user here, just a quick suggestion. That each podcast would remember how the user sorts it.
Often I listen to podcasts using "Publication Date (New -> Old)" especially if its a episodic style with a story (ex. DND podcasts). Other times though I use "Publication Date (Old -> New)" if its a podcast that has a million episodes and I just want to listen to the newer ones. And then finally I have some custom audiobook MP3's that need to be sorted by "Name Asc (A->Z)" in order to listen to them chronologically.
It would be really helpful…
1 voteTo do this, please go into Settings/Display/Podcast and enable custom sorting. After that every screen will have its own sorting mode

Filter the word 'the' from titles for the purpuse of organization
When podcasts are displayed organized by title, many (most?) of them start with 'The...' This makes alphabetic listing less useful.
If there were an option to ignore any preceding 'The' in a title when organizing them in the grid, then it would be easier to find titles and browse titles that you have subscribed to.1 voteThere’s a setting available for this. It allows you to select which prefix you want to be ignored (Settings/Display)

Add radio recording ability to the app.
Could you implement the recording function for the radio?
1 voteThis feature would require a signed contract with every existing radio, so I’m sorry but this won’t be added to the app

Download single episode without adding a podcast
If you get a lot of recommendations for reports, documentaries etc. it would be nice to download them (per link) and listen to them later without subscribing to the whole podcast series/channel.
1 voteYou can already add individual episodes without having to subscribe to a podcast.
The app search engine has an episode tab for the results to listen to or download specific episodes.
Any podcast returned by a search or popular podcasts available allows you to access its episodes list and listen to or download individual episodes.
Finally the playlist screen allows you to add audio files URLs in your playlist so you can play any remote file. Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

Add option for chronological play order
There are a ridiculous amount of options to sort play order EXCEPT chronological. Scrolling to the bottom of each subscription to add an episode to a playlist is very annoying. This one feature keeps me using a different app.
3 votesYou can select sorting by publication date in order to play the content in chronological order

Add a way to delete episodes but not mark them 'Played'
On the drop down menu of an individual episode it would be good to be able to 'Delete' the episode without having to 'Mark Played'.
Sometimes I don't want to listen to an individual episode of a podcast and I want to delete it from the list. I don't want to mark it played.3 votesYou can go into Settings/Download and disable the setting that marks episodes as played when you delete them
