  1. Hide notification icon

    I love how customizable the notification settings are... but can you add the ability to hide the icon from the notification bar, while still listing the player when I swipe down? The player is always there, so no need to show an icon all the time. I have a samsung s21 with android 11. I don't think my previous phone did this. So to be clear, when I'm looking at my home screen, I don't want to see the podcast addict icon in the top left corner... but when I swipe down, I want the player to be there. I…

  2. Delete episode but leave unplayed or unread

    I have autodownload (on wifi) enabled, but often I want to delete a download, but leave the episode unplayed to go back to later. Right now, when I delete the episode, it then marks it as played, which is what I would want the default to be on the playlist. An option in the long press to leave unread at the same time would be useful. This would be when I am on the individual podcast's episode list page

  3. Keep episode image when podcast has been watched

    Maybe I missed a flag, but...

    Whenever a podcast episode is finished/watched, the podcast image gets replaced by the generic podcast image, with the "check". Would like to keep the individual episode's image, but with the "check".

  4. Allow "refresh metadata" for virtual podcasts

    When you have a podcast (in this case a virtual podcast), add option to refresh the metadata. This is not just "looking for new episodes", but "update title", etc. When I click "refresh", it simply looks for new episodes, but does not display any changed/corrected "titles".

    NOTE: Would like to KEEP the watched status.

    You can select multiple episodes (or all of them) and use the Refresh from RSS feed option for this. The app will refresh the information based on the current file metadata. Feel free to send me an email if you have any questions (Settings/Feedback)

  5. Continuous playback - avoiding playing episodes of one podcast one after another

    I love the Continuous playback function. I use it with priorities - if a new eposide of podcast that I like appears, it goes higher on a virtual list.

    But sometimes, if I start listening after longer break and I have many episodes to listen, it makes me listen all episodes of podcast with higer priority before episodes of other podcasts. I don't like to listen many episodes of one podcast one after another.

    I'll give you an example:

    podcast A - priority 40 - 2 episodes to listen
    podcast B - priority 30 - 2 episodes to listen
    podcast…

  7. show the watched/completed episodes

    To delete a watched episode you need to search the entire list of downloaded episodes. There is a selection, but it only takes off the already watched episodes, keeping the unwatched ones. It was interesting otherwise use

    You can use the podcast drop down filter menu to see its played content. Or if you want to see all the episodes of a podcast make sure you're not hiding played content by pressing on the toolbar 'eye' button.

    Sorry but Google contacted me many times about my usage of the Youtube API and if I want to keep using it I need to keep sending the video to the Youtube app which means that there’s no point in using the playlist. Sorry about that

  9. Changed the Sort option "reverse" to only reverse the podcast you are in, not all podcasts.

    As title states. When you reverse the Sort of a podcast by publish date etc it reverses every podcast.

    By default, the podcast sorting mode is applied to every podcast. If you want every screen to use its own sorting mode please go into Settings/Display/Podcast and enable Custom sorting mode

  10. Podcast cover in widget and playlist

    Hi,
    having the possibility to set in widget and playlist the podcast cover instead at episode artwork.
    Because the immage is small, and the episode artwork sometimes is incomprehensible.
    Podcast cover is more recognizable

  11. Manage podcasts that are loaded directly from a PC.

    I have many podcasts that I have downloaded to my PC. They are not listed on iTunes, RSS, etc. I can download them to my phone and they end up in the Downloads file. I can use Podcast Addict to play them individually. But it would be nice to be able to use PA to organize them into a playlist. Thanks.

    You can create virtual podcast in the app to handle the content of a folder as a podcast. Then you can play all those files in the playlist of your choice. Feel free to send me an email if you have a question (Settings/Feedback)

  12. Mark as played if time remaining is less than 1 min

    Add an option in the settings so that a podcast is automatically marked as played (and therefore deleted if one wishes to) if the time remaining is less than X (such as 30 seconds, 1 minute...).

    Sorry but this will never get implemented. Podcasts are monetizing their content with ads. Without them a lot of podcasts would not exist. If you don’;t want ads and don’t want to manually skip them, then the only solution would be to not listen to ad supported podcasts

  14. let the color of radio tags not be shaowed behind a gray layer

    The podcast tags are not treated this way. It s harder to spot a radio on its tag than it could.

  15. Add proritzed playlists

    I often subscribe to more podcasts than I have time to listen to, though the time I have varies. Also, some podcasts are more time-sensitive than others.

    My suggestion is to allow giving different podcasts different priorities so that higher priority podcasts will play first and only when all higher priority podcasts have been played would podcast addict start playing lower priority podcasts. Within each priority band podcasts would still play in release order.

  16. Programmable button by the user itself

    In player mode I miss one button (delete and remove from playlist).
    I think every one of us would like to have a button for something in Player mode and that's why I suggest to add a button that it's function can be chosen by the user itself "what this button do" :)

  17. Tweak to Automatic Playlist for Streaming Episodes

    I am using the option to add only downloaded episodes to the automatic playlist, and the automatic cleanup option to restrict the playlist to the last episode(s) of each podcast. This works great! However, this does not work for podcasts that I want to set up for streaming-only. The episodes keep adding, and adding... terrible for hourly news podcasts! I'd like an option to restrict the number of episodes that appear in the automatic playlist per podcast, downloaded or not. Just remove the oldest from the playlist beyond this limit when new ones come in.

    You can go into the playlist custom tab, select the category of your choice and then use the filter button to customize the list content. For example, you can use the filter by publication date to only show episodes published in the last 24 hours. Feel free to contact me if you have any question (Settings/Feedback)

    Install app on all your devices, but only download to one. All devices stream from that library.

  20. Return button in App

    Hey! I use the player like 3 or 4 Months now - and I love it!

    But: It's possible for Android phones to customiz the return button in the app so, that the app keep on? If I use the button the app closed completely!

    Pressibg on the back button returns to the previous screen, until you reach the app opening screen. From that screen pressing on the back button will leave the app UI. If you open the app from the player notification or widget, then the opening screen is the player screen, so pressing on the back button from that screen will leave the UI
