If you want this to happen, please add the feature request on Waze Uservoice page. and make sure to vote for it.
On my side the development has been done for months. The only thing preventing this from happening right no is that Waze stopped adding new apps to the music player app list…Thanks

This sounds related to an idea I had where download frequency could be customized per podcast, so weekly podcasts could be set to update once a week (day of week and time), and a newscast that is updated hourly could be also set to update every hour. It seems a waste to update everything (especially if a large number of podcasts are subscribed) to refresh every podcast every hour just for that one.

This would be helpful, I listen to a newscast that is updated hourly, and I often listen to it while driving. I don't want to globally enable 3g/4g downloads or streaming, but I would like to get new episodes new episodes for this while away from home.

I would also like to add (I hope you do not mind!) to this, to suggest a sort by category. For that I also thought that borders between the categories would be a help.
