  2. you find the bug that is causing it to freeze at start up. The only way to get it to start is to shut the phone down off completely.

  3. Please fix podcast start up problem

    Everytime I go start up the podcast that I was previously listening to, it jumps backs about a minute. If I pause while listening to the podcast and resume it also does the same thing. When I scroll to find a specific spot, sometimes it starts up 20mins back from where I want it to start. I'm not sure if this is an easy fix but I can't figure out the problem.

    I love this app but this had been bugging me a lot recently.

    In case of a bug, please open a ticket using the Contact Support button .

    Looks like you are using a device with a MK65xx CPU.
    Those devices have a bug that make it impossible to resume playing using default Android APIs. Unless a specific workaround is developed for this CPU every existing app will have this bug.

  4. Fix automatic refresh

    I have my setting for every 12 hours, and when I open the app, but it seems like my phone is always refreshing my subscriptions

    Please tell me if you have enter a specific time for the feeds update.
    Do you have some podcast showing a small warning sign on the main screen ?
    Did you enable Settings/Data Usage/ Update podcasts over Wifi only ?
    Did you enable the Settings/Automatic Cleanup/Trash ?

  5. bluetooth

    Just received an update and unable to play through car via bluetooth whilst also running the navigation app M8. It used to but now it defaults to M8 via car speaker and podcast addict via phone speaker regardless of which one I start first. Has anyone else experienced this? And how was it resolved. Thanks

    Please open a ticket using the Contact Support button in case of a bug.

    The app just play/pause some content and that’s it. If the device is connected to a BT device or a standard headset, then the sound will go through the connected device, but that’s it. The app doesn’t handle anything related to BT, so there’s no regression possible ;)

  8. Full state backup/restore

    As others partially suggest, it would be great to have a mean to synchronize/share (across multiple device) the reading state of episodes or to backup/restore it when reinstalling/replacing the device (and optionally making the app be aware of episodes previously downloaded and still present on the SD card folder).

    This suggestions contains 2 different things:
    - a way to backup/restore the app data when switching device or flashin a new ROM (https://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/forums/211997-general/suggestions/4200716-backup-episodes-read-to-preserved-this-info-in-the)
    This feature is onthis way and will be available in the upcoming v2.0
    - a way to synchronize in realtime the app data between 2 devices. Please go vote for https://podcastaddict.uservoice.com/forums/211997-general/suggestions/4115735-cross-device-synchronization
    This feature will take some time to be implemented so you will need to be patient ;)

  9. allocate fixed spaces for adverts rather than adjusting layout after the advert loads and is rendered which pushes things up the screen.

    As explained on the Play store, I’m using Google admob to display the ads. The ad banner only shows when there’s a network connection and after it retrieved an ad to display. I updated the player layout in the past releases to make the buttons bigger to avoid pressing on the ad banner by mistake. Please update if your’re not on 1.23.2

  10. Please add a fast forward button to the widget and notification shade

    This will make it much easier to use the app with headphones or bluetooth that don't have a built in fast forward button.

    Hello
    Since the last improvement i cannot classify my regitered podcast insside the playlist.
    I used to choose the order of listening and create a sort of personal playlist .the older version was easier ton configure (to sort but also to automatical download ).
    which is now impossible.)

    Don’t forget to specify which version of the app you are using.
    Playlist work the same as well as Automatic download, so please describe exaclty your settings and the step by step process you are following to reproduce this issue.

  12. Menu item to download unread for all subscriptions

    I would like to have a menu item to download all unread podcasts for all podcast subscriptions.

    There is an menu setting to do this but only on a per podcast basis. It would be nice to have a top-level menu item that applies the download to all subscriptions.

  13. old podcast not deleted

    The automatic deletion of old podcasts is not working. My podcast folder is full of old files. I just tested by downloading a new podcast just today and listening to it. After listening to it the app says it has been marked as deleted but the file is soil there.

    In case of a bug please open a ticket using the contact support button.

    It looks like you didn’t enabled the automatic deletion of read episodes.You can do it in Settings/Automatic cleanup. You can also override this feature for each podcast : long press on a podcast => custom settings

  14. Choose a different icon for Podcast Addict

    The app's syringe icon, with its reference to injection and drug addiction is off putting and unprofessional. A mainstream app needs to have a more professional and attractive icon.

    I have been put off installing podcast addict for some time solely because of its icon, despite a friend having recommended the app to me. This is a shame, because it seems to be a decent podcast app.

    This website is to suggest new features or app improvement. In case of a bug you can open a ticket using the Contact support button. For questions please use the Contacts section of the app (Settings/Misc/Contacts)

    To delete all podcast, open the ‘Downloaded episodes’ Filter and select the delete all option in the menu. To delete a selection, use the menu ‘Action Mode’, then select the episodes you want to delete and press the delete button

  17. Sync across multiple android devices

    Like pocket casts, maybe an option to sync feeds across multiple android device, eg. Smartphone and tablet.

  18. Variable speed playback broken with some podcasts

    A recent update broke variable speed playback on a few of my podcasts (cheapass gamer's cagcast being one). If I change the playback speed at all, even 1.1x, it sounds like they are talking in slow motion. Not all my podcasts have this issue, and the ones that are broken had worked fine before that update.

    Nothing was broke on variable playback speed. It just doesn’t support M4A files very well and because of some hardware/drivers bugs, some devices aren’t compatible (Samsung S4 for exemple).
    Did you install the app on a different device or update you Android/Rom version ?

  19. Really great app - love the full screen and auto updates. NPR Tiny Desk Concert video seems not supported as video will not play or show

    NRP Tiny Desk Concert Videos seem only ones that will not show video so suggest format support. Other podcast players support it but they are not as nice as Podcast Addict

    Also I’m not sure what the problem is.
    The Tiny Desk Concert feed provided within the app is an audio feed, so i’s OK to not have video.
    You can add the video feed using it’s URL and it should work. Unless you already did that and there’s an issue when trying to play the video.

    Please give me more information and the URL of the feeds you’re talking about.
