  1. cross device syncing feature

    I use PodcastAddict App for listening to podcasts under same account on my phone and on tablet.
    I suggest that, if i for instance delete certain episode on the phone from Downloaded episodes, i would it like to be deleted also on the tablet and vice versa. I think, this would be great because I listen to podcasts sometimes on phone, other time on tablet, and than I always need to think, which one I had listened to on other device (I know, I can set automatic deletion, but I prefer not to delete after end of episode), so it…

  2. Make it simpler to create playlist

    Make it simpler to create playlist. Currently I have to open the individual podcast episode, and I would like to be able to add to playlist from the list of available episodes

    You can select any number of episodes in a list and then apply the action of your choice like 'add to playlist'

    To do so either enable the action mode using the screen option menu or long press on the episode artwork to enable quick select

  3. Zurückspulen im sperrbildschirm

    Ich wäre happy, wenn man die Zurückspulen-Taste im Sperrbildschirm anzeigen könnte. Die vorspulen-Taste ist ja schon vorhanden, warum dann nicht die Zurückspulen-Taste?

  5. Go back to actual time remaining

    In the last update, you switched the remaining time counter to show the actual time no matter the speed. I preferred it if I was playing a podcast at 2x speed that if it was an hour long it would actually show 30 minutes. Please return to that.

  6. Sort podcast in different tabs

    Specific podcast list - New > Old

    Download list - Old > New

    In downloads it plays from New to old and usually the episodes are in reverse so I would have to manually go back in and pick the episode I want to listen. But the sort will also effect my individual podcast. It would be nice to have the option keep it separate.

  7. Option to disable vibrate for alarms

    I use the alarm feature, but the vibrate from the alarm drowns out the talking. My phone doesn't have any settings to turn down vibration strength. The default alarm app on my phone has an option to turn of vibration per alarm. Can alarms in Podcast Addict have that option as well?

  9. change 'sort remaining time' to take account of playback speed

    If you have different podcasts with different custom playback speeds then sorting by remaining time sorts them by their overall length if played at 1x but the UI shows their lengths based on their custom speeds, which makes it look like the list is mis-sorted. When sorting by remaining time what I'm really looking for is the podcasts which will be consumable fastest, so I really want the podcast at the top which I can listen to from beginning to end the quickest.

  10. Use google drive like storage space

    I want suggest to use the "on line space" to save the episode of the podcasts. In my case I have access at a drive shared on Google Workspace. It have unlimited space available. I really like if will be possible save all episode there, I will safe a lot of space on my phone but I can stream the files when I need. Also other storage can be welcome like Dropbox, S3 and similar.

  11. playlists suck

    So i have to create a custom category name and then EVERY podcast i have to add them into that category.. I do this so i can play every single podcast without ever needing to change categories (audio, video, custom).
    JUST HAVE ONE PLAYLIST CATEGORY. that would solve the problem
    we dont care to have a video section.this is a podcast player, just play all the podcasts.
    stop hiding them in other categories and stopping when that 1 category is completed

    Or hell even just keep the player moving through the categories... why does it stop?

    Sorry but there's no plan to change how the playlist works.  If you don't need extra playlists, then just use the default one which is the app default behavior and unless you open a different playlist to start playing from it, the app will keep using the content of the main default playlist.

    Feel free to take a look at the FAQs which explains in details how the playlist works (Settings/FAQs)

    The app will then keep playing without any interruption until the end of your playlist is reached

  12. Filter episodes in playlist based on category

    It would be nice if you could filter the custom playlist based on the category. Just filtering by downloaded, played etc isn't enough, it would be nice to be able to filter by the custom categories you set yourself. Then you could keep everything in your playlist and filter it based on the categories you set yourself, sounds amazing!

    The purpose of the custom playlist is to select which category you want to listen to, so I don't understand your question. You can use the screen drop down menu to select the category you want to. Feel free to send me an email with more details so I can help (Settings/Feedback)

  13. syncroniser podcasts lu et non lu entre plusieurs appareils

    Quand on utilise l'application sur plusieurs appareils on ne sait pas quels épisodes ont été lu sur l'autre appareil. Il faudrait que lorsque un épisode est lu sur un appareil, il sois marque comme lu sur l'autre appareil également.

  14. Podcast takes a long time to start playing after hitting play

    I usually hit play from the widget to resume a already downloaded podcast. Most times it takes 20-30 seconds for the podcast to start playing. After hitting play if I open the app it'll show the podcast that I'm listening to but the progress bar doesn't appear until the song finally starts playing. Been happening for months now.

    Hi,

    I’m guessing you’re streaming your episode so it depends on the speed of your internet connection. If you play episodes that are already downloaded it will start playing right away.

  15. Show which have been downloaded

    On the Podcast menu i can see the total available ( even if my default dowbload is 5) and I can see if they're downloading or not, but not how many that have already been downloaded and how many read

  16. allow video podcasts to be played as audio only (if desired)

    what if you can't play the video due to an internal error or something, podcast addict skips it and goes to the next one in the playlist. by doing this you missed the video. there should be an option to play the audio of the video that has already been downloaded. The audio is much better than not podcast at all.

    You can already pkay video podcast in the background. Just make sure you disabled video foreground playback in settings/player. But in your case it won’t help you if the app fails to play the file. Please open a ticket with app version, android version, device, feed URL and episode name using the contact support button.

  17. allow video podcasts to be played as audio only (if desired)

    what if you just want to listen to a certain video podcast. or a show has audio and video episodes but you can't watch the video? podcast addict skips the video podcasts that can't be view. i suggest you let users opt to turn video podcasts to be played as audio.

    You can already do that. Just make sure you disabled video playback in foreground only in Settings/player then you can start playing video content and switch off your screen or do something else and the playback will remain on in the background.

  18. Optimize the internal player.

    Other apps and games like temple run and subway surfers lag a lot when a podcast is playing but have no problem while using a external player. Using an external player is not reliable as it doesn't have the necessary options such as sleep timer, 30sec skip etc.

    The app uses your device build in player. If you enabled variable playback speed the app will use some CPU for the real time sound processing so other apps requiring a lot of CPU resources might lag. In that case you will have to disable the app audio effects

    Please don’t use this page to report an issue. It’s dedicated to new feature requests. Use the Contact support button or the dedicated bug report form instead (Settings/Feedback/Report a bug)

    Regarding the ‘issue’, this is the intended behavior. The X is supposed to remove the category, not clear the text content. You can then press the + button in the actionbar to add new categories

  20. allow users to build additional playlists

    I recently downloaded an audio book and I would like to listen to it using podcast addict. The problem, however, is that Pocast Addict doesn't allow multiple playlists.
