  1. Add a skip 30 seconds forward and back button like Audible has

    Audible has buttons that jump ahead or back 30 seconds. It's really nice in order to not have to touch the timeline precisely.

  2. Fix skips, repeats, jumps when playing podcasts.

    Both my husband and I are experiencing jumps in podcasts when playing, both forward and backward.

    My guess is that you’re streaming on a Samsung device with Android 6.
    In that case this is ‘unfortunately normal’…
    Playback is handled by the device built-in player, not by the app.
    Samsung broke streaming apps with their latest ROM.
    The only workaround for now is to download episodes. Hopefully they will fix this soon.
    Also make sure to disable the device built-in battery saver or at least to remove Podcast Addict and other streaming apps from the list of ‘optimized apps’

  5. tunable connection timeout

    sometimes, since my server is slow to respond, downloading episodes times out whe trying to retrieve file. Is it possible to have an advance setting to tune how long it waits for an http response?

  7. Need a backup/restore that WORKS

    Global restore FAILS.

    I have backed up my PA DB occasionally, after I change settings.
    My phone then died.
    When I got PA (paid!) installed on my new phone (an S7, June 20, 2016), I tried restoring the last backup I made at the last settings change (2015-11-10), and it said INVALID FILE (or something similar).

    If you're going to have a Backup/Restore system, please make sure it will WORK.

  9. Do not show podcasts that I listened to but am not subscribed to in the "podcasts" section

    When I'm exploring and check k out a new podcast it automatically adds it to the home screen with all my subscription podcasts. I hate that! Only things that I'm subscribed to should go there

  11. Automatic cleanup except marked

    I have just found the automatic cleanup feature which is great for saving space.
    However I would like to keep certain episodes downloaded that I may want to listen to again in the future.
    Perhaps the option to exclude starred (favourite) episodes could be implemented.

  12. Playback issues

    Podcast often skip backward or can skip forward as I play them. How can I resolve this issue? I play them on a Samsung Galaxy 6

    Regarding the issue, if you’re streaming using a Samsung device running Android 6 this is unfortunately normal…
    Playback is handled by the device built-in player, not by the app.
    Samsung broke streaming apps with their latest ROM.
    Make sure to remove Podcast Addict (and every other streaming app) from the device battery saver ‘optimized apps’ list to fix this
    If that doesn’t work please download the episode first

  13. Reading in progress bug

    Love the app It has run smoothly since I got it except for a little thing, I can't enter the Reading In Progress list. The app crashes.

  14. Removing the "Delete every episode" command

    I accidentally ran "Delete every episode" instead "Delete read episodes" (confirmation dialog has just a one-word difference as well) and it messed up my collection. Is it possible to remove this menu completely (because it's the same as run "Select All" from a menu and press Delete) or at least make these menus harder to mix up?

  15. make of PA a universal audio player.

    I would love an unique app to manage and play music, audiobooks, and podcasts. Maybe I'm wrong but I think you have, with PA, a very good base for this.

    Regarding the issue, the app has been supporting Android 7 since the first beta has been released. They have been more than 10K daily users running the app on Android N since Google IO and nobody reported any crashes.

    I don’t see any crash on the Play Store console.
    Please send me an email with more detail explaining the displayed message, the device, what you’re doing when this happen, …
