Add sort option for putting 'in progress' shows at the top of the list
It would be great to be able to sort the podcasts listing to prioritise shows that are in progress. Or possibly to have this as a separate section.
I'm thinking of something along the lines of Plex's 'Continue Watching' listing (https://duet-cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/0x0:1440x810/750x500/filters:focal(720x405:721x406):format(webp)/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/19429518/399FCD8C_DD53_47C6_B23A_7B2874DA1B28.jpeg), which lists shows that you are currently watching and which are either part way through an episode, or which have an episode available after the last watched one. It is then (reverse) sorted by the last time you watched each show.
It's a brilliant feature in Plex because it lets you:

Add secondary sorting to the podcast list
Secondary sorting on playlists works amazingly. Please extend this to the sort functionality already built into the main podcast list. I would love to be able to have the podcast tiles sorted "By priority, and then by publication date to break ties".

Allow selection of which Player view is used as the Opening Screen
I have a premium subscription and I've set my Opening Screen to Player. However, the Player screen has 3 views:
1. The playlist
2. The current episode image and title
3. The episode detailsSetting the Opening Screen to Player opens the app on view #2, but I'd like to open it on view #1.

Push Notification for Live Streams
Add support for push notifications for live podcast stream using the Podcasting 2.0 tag <podcast:liveItem>. If the user turned on this toggle for a specific podcast, they'd receive a notification whenever the podcast stream went live and given the option to stream the show.

Allow temporary pausing of all automatic downloads
When I visit family with limited Wi-Fi, I don't want to use it all up by auto-downloading podcasts (yes, it is possible!). I only have a few podcasts set up to auto-download, not all, but they update daily, sometimes multiple times a day. I can't see a way to pause their daily updates until I'm back on regular Wi-Fi because my main auto-download setting is on "off" (these podcasts have an override to let them download normally). So some way to make ALL downloads manually triggered and, I don't know, override the override(?), would be useful.

Keep podcast info/settings/search visible when scrolling
I'll often be scrolling through lists of episodes and then want to search for specific content/episodes. Right now, I have to scroll back up to the top of the list of episodes to access the search button (and podcast info/settings etc.)
Can we have podcast info/settings/search kept visible when scrolling through episodes, or scroll it at a different rate to the episodes so that it shows quickly when scrolling back up (i.e. instead of having to scroll to the top of the episodes)?

export, import, edit the listening history. CSV file maybe
If we could export the listening history to a csv file, edit it (on a PC I guess) and import it again, that would be fantastic ! To keep it simple, export all the available information (per episode : time downloaded, time played, speed, comments, bookmarks, etc and let the user deal with it)
For what case?
What I have in mind is merging the listening histories of podcast addict of my old and my new phone. Because when I broke my old phone, i didn't realize my last PA backup was 3 months old and I listened to a…4 votes -
Bulk categorize podcasts
I currently have 470 podcasts total. 150 of those are categorized automatically as fiction as I subscribe to them over time. I would like to move them to a category I created called "New" where I keep the podcasts I haven't started listening to yet. It would be nice to be able to bulk categorize those 150 without going through a list of all 470, or individually customizing the settings to change the category on all 150.

Android Automotive Sync
Looking to buy a new car with Android Automotive. Obviously this doesn't use android auto so doesn't pull podcasts from the phone.

Sort By Recently Played Option In Each Sort Menu
This is useful independent of the Playback history and Playback in progress. Those can't currently be filtered very well - that's another potential improvement that could fill the same purpose. (also, All and Downloaded episodes could use the same filters - the ones in the podcast episode lists.)
Use cases:
-Took a break from a show, not sure how long ago, and want to pick it up again.
-can't remember the specific guest or a revelant search term, and it was an older episode that was listened recently.

download sorting "catch up"
Up to now I can select that the next episode to download can be either the newest one or oldest one.
I suggest to introduce a "catch up" mode.
Therefore I would introduce an Abo date. this is the date when I started the Abo.
I would suggest such a function.
next epidode to download (abodate)
if there is at least one episode newer than Abodate
then take the newest episode
else
take the oldest episode
endWith such a function I would chronologically catch up with the older episodes but also hear new episodes close to the release date.

Rewrite clickable timestamps to reflect playback speed
When displaying the episode time modified by playback speed, it would often be useful to see the timestamps in the episode description adjust similarly. That would make it easier to refer to where you are in am episode, when looking at outline or transcript with timestamps.

Add a toggle for download on wifi only to the download menu
Having a second copy of the download over wifi/data toggle in the "downloads" menu would make it much easier to find (since it's an infrequently used setting, most people won't know where it is, and when looking it makes sense to look in "downloads" for the option.

to implement an anti-theft security function...
... to be used for example for the gym as follows:
- The function can easily be activated manually on the same screen like the Sleep-Timer or automatically depending on a specific location or a specific WiFi.
- If the function is enabled, the playback of a podcast or any other audio or video is stopped as soon as the device is moved (e.g. by a theft in the gym).
I think, implementing this is easy (may be I can help?), The already existing function "Shake to reset (Sleep-Timer)" can be somehow used for the anti-theft security function.

Virtuelle Podcast kennzeichnen und eigene Regeln einstellen.
Ich verwende gerne das Feature virtueller Podcast. Mir ist aufgefallen, das generelle Einstellungen auch für virtuelle Podcasts gelten. Es wäre gut, wenn man virtuelle Podcast kennzeichnen könnte mit einem kleinen icon. Außerdem wäre eine Einstellung gut, wo man z.b für virtuelle Podcasts andere Einstellungen zum Löschen von gehörten Episoden einstellen könnte. Z.b gelesene Episoden von virtuellen Podcasts nicht zu löschen.

Let it be possible to create a membership that can be accessed from applications for both web and mobile devices. Membership via Google Drive is not useful.

expand Pause between episodes options in playlist settings
I would appreciate expanded options in the Pause between episodes setting, so I can set significantly longer pauses between episodes so I can have time to reflect on the previous episode I heard. An option to customize the amount of time instead of just having set choices (as it currently is) would be optimal.

Error counter in menu
It would be great if there was some sort of indignation that there's an error that you can quickly see in the menu. Maybe a number in red next to the queue number.
