Share Active Playlist with Friends (Similar to Spotify)
I would love ability to share a playlist with friends and family. As I add new episodes, my followers would see them in their list. They can listen to the episodes that interest them and dismiss those that do not.
The creator of the list could decide if other invitees are allowed to add new episodes to the list or not.

Add export or sharing of playback history.
One of my professional credentials requires that I track and submit hours of ongoing education time. They accept listening to podcasts so your listening history feature is a very promising start.
Now I need an easy way to get that history out of podcast addict and into other formats.
Something similar to your current backup sharing feature should work.
Eg.
- I select Backup Listening History
- PA collects history info and saves to storage, maybe in CSV format with podcast name, episode, duration, original episode link,...
- PA offers to let me Share the file

Shake to reset
Allow "shake to extend" available at any time during night, even if player has been off a few hours. We want to resume audio and sleep timer for 20 minutes without opening our eyes

Solarized Themes (light and dark)
I'd like to suggest the inclusion of two themes based on Ethan's solarized theme both light and dark flavours - if possible with an option to change between themes based on time of day (similar to what waze does).

Add intent to play specific radio station via tasker
Lates release added the possibility to launch the app on the radio page via intent. Now, to complete the automation, it would be great to be able to also start playing a specific radio station.

Add a "random" sort playlist option (not shuffle)
I order my playlist by "podcast priority" but then would love to randomize podcast episodes that have the same priority.

Display # of downloaded episodes on home screen
On the home screen, in the little yellow triangle (top right of each podcast square), allow showing the # of DOWNLOADED episodes instead of (or in addition to) the number of available episodes.

Download on any connection per podcast
I have one or two podcast that I would like to download as soon as a new podcast becomes available regardless of what connection I am on, Wi-Fi or cellular.

Jump back after sleep timer is not renewed
When I am trying to sleep I would like that when the sleep timer triggers and I do not shake, it stops the podcast but not in that specific time. It would be great that the app jump back to the beginning of the last sleep timer triggering

Allow add to playlist (top, bottom, before/after episode) to be edited per podcast rather than globally decided

Of course, this would be optional and opt-in and not default. For added control, the amount of diming could be configurable in the Settings - Display.

suggest episodes from subscriptions
RadioPublic has a "suggestions from shows you follow" panel which I've been finding very helpful. It simply seems to present three unlistened podcasts from all your subscriptions. If you refresh the list (pull down), it give three different suggestions. I'm not sure of the algorithm behind it, it may be purely random for all I know -- though it seems to favor "recent episodes".
It really helps to have a small limited list of "suggestions" to choose from, when subscribed to a lot of podcasts. I find it helps especially with podcasts that don't publish as often, and hence don't…

Play first so many seconds and last so many seconds of a Podcast at a certain speed before switching back to Podcast's default speed
Certain series often have a set number of sconds of fluff intheir intro and outro. Id like a setting that played those amount of tiimes at fastest speed to blow through them.

Ability to choose which category a new podcast is subscribed into
When subscribing a new podcast it is impossible to customise which category it will subscrive into. I am sure people who use subscriptions have a few specific names for their subscriptions (eg If someone listens to seperate Formula 1 and football podcasts), when downloading a new football podcast they would go into a NEW sports folder rather then letting used choose where to subscribe into. This was a useful feature in BeyondPod
Manually editing categories is time consuming!

Sorting by popularity in a country
Sorting by language works very good until a language is used in one country. In case of languages used in many countries, especially English, results are a mix from different countries. Users in the US, UK, India or New Zeland have a bit different interests, especially regarding American affairs.
Information about country of podcast origin is in a country domain like .co.uk, .in, .nz in RSS address.
Much more valuable is information about popularity in a country regardless podcast origin because it would include also what, mostly in English, is sufficiently universal to be interesting especially when there is no…
